Early days I know, but no harm in starting the summer window rumour thread right now. The aquisition targets and those leaving will obviously be very "division dependent", but here's something that caught my eye this morning. No doubt there'll be a lot more speculation and rubbish amongst all the rumours, so stick up anything you see or hear on here. http://sportwitness.co.uk/colombia-player-reveals-clubs-pre-agreement-cardiff-city-transfer/
We need 3 central midfielders if as looks likely we go down. Get the right quality and play offs minimum..
We’ll likely lose Etheridge, Manga, Bennett, Zohore, Connelly, Damour, the loanees and we know about Gunnarsson. The nucleus of the squad will likely be unchanged- Smithies, Richards, Peltier, Cunningham, Bamba, Morrison, Ralls, Hoilett, Murphy, Reid, Paterson, Harris, Healey, Ward, NML. That’s a decent top 10 championship squad needing 4-5 replacements. Will though it be NW in control? ps. After today I am now resigned to relegation - sick as the proverbial.
NW remaining in control will be the key factor in our strategy. If he stays, it'll be another attempt at promotion using his style of football, whereas if he goes, will we start developing younger players into a completely different style? Of course, finances will also be key. Lets hope the question is academic.
Etheridge and Bennett signed new 3 year deals last summer. Etheridge will interest mid to lower Prem clubs if he wants to go. We should get good money if he leaves. I think Bennett will stay unless we get an offer we can't refuse. Ken has another to go. Unlikely to attract Prem interest. Do we cash in or keep? Connolly's and O'Keefe's contracts are up so will go. Tomlin has a year to go. Not sure about Madine, Damour and Bogle but expect they are the same. Apart from possibly Damour, as we will need midfield cover, the others can all go. Give them packed lunches wrapped in road maps. Anyone know of any other senior players where contracts end this year or have another year?
Warnock's views on contracts for next year. Good news if Manga can be persuaded to stay, whether we are in the Prem or Championship. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport.../cardiff-city-contracts-update-bruno-16065871
Does not sound too inspiring https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport...diff-city-reportedly-tracking-celtic-16080322
Looks like we're preparing for the Championship next year - pity we didn't prepare for the Premier League this year.
Forget the players for a minute....................... http://sportwitness.co.uk/cardiff-c...jesus-reveals-pl-offer-club-close-relegation/
Not that unhappy about this.............. http://sportwitness.co.uk/talks-held-london-everton-player-summer-transfer/
Agreed. He gives us more dynamism and something different from what we have, but still not the goals. If he played with or in front of a goalscorer, it might be a different matter. Don't think we could afford his wages, especially if we're in the championship.
Hardly surprising https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport...victor-camarasa-rejects-cardiff-city-16150691

Warnock has revealed the club have two transfer strategies in place.... We'll either get them or we won't ?
