have heard from a mate who has a contact within the club , that Shaw & Lallana to MANU in the summer is a done deal , approx £50 Million for the pair .

Moyes wants to get the deal done before the world cup ( Obviously ) they have offered shaw £85000 PW .

If Man U want to wrap it up before the World Cup to avoid any bidding wars and much higher transfer costs, I'm sure Saints would jump at the chance to help keep the price down and accomodate both Man U and the transfer market congestion and stupid prices that are inevitable post-Brazil. Also of course would like to help Spurs fill their manager post asap, by helping send Poch on his way by selling players from under his feet as early as possible.

If some of this stuff actually happens, I can see my relationship as a fan of football changing quite a lot, as the absolute pointlessness of it all dawns on me. The club pledged to make a good go of this, and while I see you need to sell some players to buy and improve, selling off our team's talismanic spine would completely undermine the message and objectives. Particularly when doing so to those teams who are likely to be above us in the league, thus blocking our path to anywhere except mid-table mediocrity. Would find it difficult to find any positivity from that point in. I still think this team needs two more seasons at least to move up a notch in terms of players we can attract, competitions we can compete in etc.

<laugh> The articles about Shaw following Neville so must be joining United. <laugh>
