Nice idea. Although the talk is more about converting Chambers to central defender where he already plays for England U19s

Chambers to Arsenal is a done deal, £10m and £75k a week, from what I've heard from a decent non-press source.

Whole squad sold off for £150m, we now have £150m to spend.

Chelsea to do a clear out apparently

The senior members of the squad who are vulnerable include Torres, Demba Ba, Samuel Eto’o, David Luiz, Mikel, Cole and back-up goalkeepers Mark Schwarzer and Hilario.

Anxious to adapt to Uefa’s Financial Fair Play rules, the club want to bring down the wage bill, which means they will let Luiz leave for £30million and are prepared to sell some of the 28 players currently loaned out including Romelu Lukaku, Marko Marin, Victor Moses, Ryan Bertrand, Gael Kakuta and Josh McEachran.

Alot of them are probably too expensive or already grasped by others but it might be worth a look, for a back up keeper atleast, Schwarzer is getting on but he's experienced and would probably be happy as back up.

That's a staggering number.

EDIT: When I suggested Coloccini, by the way, I was thinking of a poor man's David Luiz. How about the real thing..? :)

I don't rate Luiz at all. If he was at a team that actually had to defend a lot, he'd be found out constantly. Coloccini is the better player.

Chelsea have a youth policy.of basically buying all the top 17 year olds from europe and africa, of those 28 out on loan there is some serious talent that will just wither away and be ruined. Ba is an obvious choice but will be on stupid money, if Jose is feeling generous then maybe he can throw Hazard jnr our way

I think at lot of the top teams will be off loading their fringe and young players in an attempt to satisfy FFP so there will be some good options out there in the summer however we will struggle with the wages of some of these I strongly suspect.
If Sunderland go down, how about Adam Johnson?

Personally I think Johnson is way too inconsistent. One good game and 5 bad ones. Not sure he has the work rate either.

But they turn a profit on a lot of them, thus allowing them a means to offset their large buys. A tactic beloved of FM players, and now actually fairly useful in the FFP era.

Coloccini is possibly the best CB in the Prem and deserves to play in a decent defence. Everything Newcastle do starts with him, and he badly misses Cabaye as an option to take the ball off him. I'd buy him like a shot, although my Newcastle-supporting daughter would be heartbroken.
