now we get to keep him cos nobody wil ltouch him with a barge poll.

If any of you lot are shocked suarez acted the way he did then more fools you. he is what he is, he'll go do it again.... same as diouf if he'd got more than 2 in 22 he'd not have been sold the dirty filthy spitter.

We should advertise the new kit with Suarez in a mask like this:

Just to lighten the mood a bit.

Hypothetically then crumpet
Suarez comes out and apologises profusely and declares his love for LFC and agrees to psychiatric help.
The club fine him - rightly and impose an eight game ban before the F A(tho they will have to move fast)
They pubicly batter Suarez and state they expect higher standards, suarez accepts this.
Suarez returns and plays his heart out for the club and never has an incident like this again
Were we right to stand by him?
Should we give him that chance, remember how we vilified Becks against argentina as a nation i know the offences not similar btw.

If all of those things happen? Then yes, I say keep him.

I would be happy to see us impose a ban before the FA have chance, I'd be happy to see him slated (publicly this time) for bringing the shame and embarrassment to the name of Liverpool Football Club, I would be happy to see a player of genuine world-class ability play for Liverpool.

Sadly I don't think much of this scenario is likely.

And your point is? I posted the picture in response to a claim that it was unclear whether there'd been an actual bite.
Defoe was wrong then and Suarez is wrong now.

Someone's already mocked one up, believe it or not:

My point is that I barely remember the above incident happening and yet it looks pretty similar. IF another player had done this today, it wouldn't have generated the furore it has. Suarez should be punished, but the FA should be level headed and take above situations into account

Flog him in the summer, with thorny brambles. Then crucify the dirty little racist.

Unless he repents of course, then we can just sell him.

Yes, taken out of context the bite is comical. If Pepe or Henderson had bit someone, we would all be pissing ourselves. But there is a bigger picture when it comes to Suarez, when after being continually defended and idolised by the fans he repays us by bringing another **** storm on the club. Was it as bad as Cantona's actions - hell no, but it is the bigger picture that makes, me for one, make the issues comparable for the damage it does to the club.

The cynic in me wonders whether he is trying to orchestrate a move, and does something like this to give the club no option.

I disagree - if Joey Barton had done it the reaction would have been just as intense.
