Its also bullshit! The points about not wanting a sulking unhappy player are true but the guy seems to overlook Luis' ambition, afterall, thats the driving force behind him wanting a move apparently.
Just in case you don't understand that; he won't get the move he wants by sulking etc!
Personally, I think bridges are burnt and he should be told to ****off. However, since Arsenal are part of the reason he is so unsettled, we should hold out for our asking price but sell gim to others for the reported £40,000,001 with a signed letter to Mr Wenger that simply says "go **** yourself"
Watch, they'll be right and we've been cockey and the news coming at ten is that the Being Liverpool series cameras picked up the conversation where Brendan promises Luis he can leave this summer.

Not saying this is a reliable article or is what is going to happen, but what would you Liverpool fans think if a deal was done at £47.5m? It wouldn't be the £50m+ you lot seem to value him at, but it would be a significant increase on an offer of £40m. What do you think? Would you be happy? Thats a hell of a lot of money if it's made available to buy replacements.

Nope. Would only sell to Arsenal at £60mil with a transfer request from Suarez.
Any foreign team can have him for £40+ though.

Henry actually laughed at an offer just £7.499999million less than that. You would have to go to at least £55mil imo. Forgot to add that I myself don't want him to go to you at any cost. It's nothing personal like many of you seem to think. It's simply because by going to you, we are weakening ourselves and strengthening a rival. If we sell abroad, we are only weakening ourselves and not strengthening anyone we will be competing with this season. That in itself is worth £15-20million imo and that's why I think we will sell to a foreign team for around £40mil should the offer come in.

Honestly: screwing you lot & Suarez aside? It would all depend on who we can line up.
The point still remains that there's no point giving the team we're trying to catch the only decent striker in form and still available if we can't replace his goals.
I mean you lot know about how pointless it is to no longer be in contention for the league but be told there's a big wadge of cash .....waiting. Why would we be happy with cash we can't spend, watching you keep 4th spot for yet another year?
And that wasn't a piss take by the way.

I was the same prior to the recent interview but would have held out for more cash.
Thats not what i'm saying - i wanted to know as fans what your reaction would be if the deal WAS done at 47.5m with Arsenal.
We all know you'll sell to us for £50 million, and to a foreign side for about £30 million. might want to adjust your figures, you're miles off.
