Oh come on folks, take away all that crap.

This is Anfield had it right today; here is a guy who having said he wants privacy & is generally treated mean by the British press has gone as far as telephone interviews while on holiday: some strive for privacy that eh?

He knows they're sharks but barely a week goes by without him opening his mouth in at the very least a way that is open to the very misinterpretation he claims to be a victim of.

Yes he's talking to his home press but you don't aggravate the shark on a weekly basis if you claim it upsets you and the wife and you intend to return. He knows what our press are doing with the interviews so why would you keep stirring the pot if you are coming back? He had an opportunity to be off the radar for everything bar playing for his country!!

If he was staying he wouldn't be vague he'd have made one clear statement in the knowledge that a big offer would be listened to by LFC even if he had only said he's happy to stay!

You can debate what is said or not said; what the correct translation etc etc but how many other LFC players are making weird vague "nothing in it but if there is!....."press announcements once a week.

And for the last time. Each one isn't a rehash story. The story may be rehashed by 7 different British media outlets afterwards but they originated from (on my count) 5 separate interviews in 6 weeks.

The repetitive nature shows a guy who wants to keep his name in people's minds all summer. If you're stating you want them to lay off why would you do that? I mean even if he doesn't go he's insuring that we're in the same place with the media come September...

He wants gone and for £40M he can **** right off and I wish him the very worst.

No selling to PL teams though,

sell him and spend the money wisely - just a pity as he is the most exciting player we have had for some time

Another follow-up from the morning papers and, after reports claimed Liverpool won’t sell Luis Suarez for less than £40million, Brendan Rodgers says he remains hopeful the striker will stay at Anfield. Real Madrid are reportedly favourites to sign Suarez ahead of Arsenal.

"Over the course of the last few months and towards the end of the season there has been a lot of speculation with Luis, but the fact is it remains the same. He has got three years left on his contract, we don't want to sell him, and we hope everything will be fine for the summer."

I no longer carers whether he leaves or stays. He has been a pain in the neck of club and supporters. JUDAS.!

I'm more interested in the first bit mate. Shows that we are in no rush to sell him and if Real want him then they can meet our price tag. Hopefully we'll get more than 40m for him though.

At least with it being Real Madrid interested there is a very good chance of getting the £40+ mil. If it were Barca I'd be more worried that they'd try to get him as cheap as possible with alot of unsettling and tapping up going on. Real aren't know for driving hard bargains and more than often have paid over the top for a player.

Liga - Real Madrid sign €38m Illarramendi
Spain U21 star Asier Illarramendi has joined Real Madrid from Real Sociedad for a total of €38 million (£32.8m).

<yikes>

This is what I was saying. Lets be honest that guy is not worth £30+ mil. They see who they want and then buy not matter the price.

Does not mean they are not interested in Suarez.<ok>

Well of course not, Illarramendi is a CM, Suarez is a striker. Real want to win the title and the CL and humiliate Barca in the process. They'll spend big in order to do that. £70-100mil spending in a summer wouldn't a first for Real.

I'm just oging to be good and keep to this thread though this could be its own topic.

Real madrid have signed Illarramendi at top young player, Isco and other absolute top player in spain, they have added Carvajal and Casemiro too.... in short where do people think suarez fits in???? ozil and all these guys are there and frnakly higuin doesn't want to move, benzema is there, ronaldo is there.... Is it rational for suarez to play the real card any more? HAs he tried to force this move and then found real have moved on? I'm still convinced he's in direct contact with them but i just wonder if real have all that interest

I certainly agree, they also seem to be more keen on Bale although it looks unlikely that he'll leave Spurs. Which makes it more and more likely the likes of City and Chelsea will perk up, knowing now that he wants to play CL football and compete for the league. I don't see this ending well for us, he'll either go to one of our rivals or move abroad for a lesser fee.

I really don't think we will sell to a PL club.

I think Suarez' agent has told him to act the way he has to get this Real Madrid move and RM may have been interested for a moment but have now moved on.

Expect a statement from Luis soon saying it was all blown out of proportion and he never wanted to leave, was just upset and all that bollox cos he's stuck with us.
