Well if thats true and the figure of £200k a week is true that is at least £52 million to pay off his contract. So no £40mill and pound bids this summer.

Personally, I think he will only leave to go to Real Madrid even IF we have CL. I think he just really wants to live and play in Spain.
If we don't have CL football, then I can see him joining clubs like Bayern etc all around Europe that are in CL.
But I'm still happy - as someone said, it's a win win. Worst case scenario - we protect his value if we sell. Best case - we secure his services for many years.

Great news, but I fully expect him to have a non-CL release clause in there. That said, he'll stay if we get into the CL as I do believe he's happy here.
