    Great player and greats news for PL football that he's staying, I love watching him and the PL needs to keep players like him not watch them all run off to La liga.

    Well if thats true and the figure of £200k a week is true that is at least £52 million to pay off his contract. So no £40mill and pound bids this summer.

    I think it's clear that he wants to stay as long as we are in the Champions League so you may have a point if we don't qualify and RM come in with a truck load of money.

    Personally, I think he will only leave to go to Real Madrid even IF we have CL. I think he just really wants to live and play in Spain.

    If we don't have CL football, then I can see him joining clubs like Bayern etc all around Europe that are in CL.

    But I'm still happy - as someone said, it's a win win. Worst case scenario - we protect his value if we sell. Best case - we secure his services for many years. :)

    ****ing brilliant news. Just swore really loudly in the office when I read this. My colleague was on the phone to a prospective client. Wo gives a **** though, I am over the moon.

    If we can beat Cardiff tomorrow this will go down as one of the best weeks in recent Liverpool history.

    Great news, but I fully expect him to have a non-CL release clause in there. That said, he'll stay if we get into the CL as I do believe he's happy here.

    Onwards and upwards, Werner and Henry, get buying some quality players to build around him. In for a penny...

    imagine who this will help us attract in Jan, eve if we are in not a good position league wise as we hoped for, surely most players out there want to play in the same team as him now, great news for us this, didn't see it coming to be honest but ****ing brilliant news.
