Great news for now and the future... sure, it's most likely that the new contract has a clause but that's a bit of insurance for us, I'd be very surprised if that clause starts with a figure less than £80M

Outstanding! Doubtless it is related to CL football, and hopefully with a big ****-off clause to other Prem teams, no matter what the circumstances. That said, he deserves CL football and we just HAVE to attain it this year, no excuses. If we don't, and he goes -hopefully with everybodies' blessing that he did his bit to get us there - then Brendan will have shed load of money (£90m + £1?) to build next season, but hopefullt that's an event that needn't happen. Here's to having a tilt at the Prem and the CL next year, and selling millions of Suarez shirts worldwide to fund it all.

That was quick and quiet the way it should be. I can only guess that new buys in both January and Summer where indicated to him plus what he's seen developing with the existing squad.

Ignoring "the shared love " bollox, just continue doing what he's been doing and he'll be worth the pay rise and we'll have every chance of the CL football he craves.

As for Real, they'll be too busy paying multimillion pound fines, back taxes and annual tax to the EU to splash like that again soon.

 

Even if we somehow won the title, FA Cup and CL (despite not being in it) I'm not convinced he'll stay. If Real or Barca come knocking and meet our valuation he'll be off. Read his comments about wanting to play for them.

 

that could be true Gerrez, but i should imagine utd had players who would have jumped at the chance of playing for Real when they was wining the title etc, the trick is to keep them happy and keep wining things,then they end up staying, lets hope Luis is the same

I spoke to my mate earlier. From what he can tell, it's a £10 mill wage deal, and it's absolutely win:win for us as far as he's concerned. Happy ****ing days.

He's a World class talent & to have him secured on a new deal is a coup.

Everyone has stated the obvious around CL & release clauses etc, so there's nothing else to add.

 

You just know Christmas has arrived, Suarez signs a new deal and tobes sanctions it.
