Spitting's worse for me. And let us not forget the Boyd thing. It does my head in when fans get on their high horse about any player of another club being a ****, but turn a blind eye/make excuses, when one of their own **** up.

George Boyd didn't spit intentionally.

And I'd rather be gossed on than bitten, either way your getting a good coating of some tramps saliva, I'd rather not have it injected into me.

Boyd definitely spat intentionally. I hate the spitting thing, it shows such a cheap classless lack of respect for another person. It's just so ****ing wrong.

Zidane got 3 match ban from FIFA for his headbutt.

I can't work out if you're just playing devil's advocate or you have a very different moral compass from me. Are you really saying a butt in the chest is comparable to biting???

I am not condoning what Zidane did but there was provocation apparently, what I find weird with Suarez there appears to be no provocation from the player he bites.

Zidane got 3 match ban from FIFA for his headbutt.

Reasons that was different:

1. Materazzi provoked him, meaning he was also at fault.

2. FIFA knew he was retiring after that game. Why ban him for a loads of games if he is retiring?

Also, are you comparing a bite and a headbutt? Really?

I'm sure there are nasty things said on football fields every week the world over. Good job they don't all result in violent reactions isn't it. Materazzi got a 2 match ban also? For name calling?

So why did FIFA ban Zidane at all if retiring? Seems pointless to hand any ban out. They would have banned him for 3 games regardless of him retiring.

FIFA are saying that biting is far far far far worse than headbutting/punching/stamping/name calling even. Why do people see biting as any worse than stamping on someone. People just keep saying cos it is. Are all those things not wrong? Is biting and breaking the skin four months ban worse than a headbutt?

Because biting is girly & football's a mans game.

suarez didn't even break the skin

No one is giving a reason why biting is so much worse than the others mentioned. They are saying cos it just is. Like that is an answer. It's not normal granted, but worse?

Spitting and biting can spread diseases, it's disgusting. End of.

Zidane got a straight red for violent conduct which always results in a three match ban anyway, so he was always going to get that. They didn't give him any additional penalty as they were aware it was pointless due to retirement.

Materazzi got a two match ban because he's a prick.
