A win at the weekend will make everything seem so much better.

It certainly did last week.

How many wins/ signings do you think Donald needs in the bank before RAWA and co flip their position? I'd say if he gets 3-4 players in and spends somewhere between £500k-1m, and we win 3 out of 5 up until Pompey on 1st of Feb, they'll change their position.

What's going to be even weirder will be if/when the pro-Parky chants begin... :D

The more I've thought about it the more I think the timing was absolutely awful. They should've done all this after Parkinson was appointed or left it until after the transfer window. Think most people thought Donald is likely to not take any criticism too well, to say the least, which in turn affects transfers this window.

I still think if they were going to do a statement it should have been a kick up the arse type along the lines of "you've got this loan, you say we're in good shape financially, we need to see an ambitious transfer window, results have to improve if we're to stick with this manager and we need clarity on who is running the club and information about when the directors who have left are being replaced". If we're **** mid February and he hasn't invested or improved the structure of the club, then (with RAWA having had time to actually poll their members) they could say get out and there'd be almost no argument. With a statement on 27th December he was never going to be out in time for new owners to come in during the window anyway, so why not give him January? By the middle of next month we'd know a lot more about how this season was likely to finish, how ambitious we've been in the window, whether there's a long term plan. The statement was very strong given the circumstances and if we keep winning less and less will support it!

RAWA and the BLC are having separate meetings next week and discussing it, I think the BLC will come out with a statement more supportive of Donald, god knows what the RAWA one will be, but **** me, statement after statement, groups arguing, owner being petulant, we're a ****ing laughing stock

A handful of decent signings and the maintenance of current form and the whole thing could look different. This is why I find the willingness to criticise Donald so strange. Like I said yesterday, the response from the fanzines was out of proportion with the problems.

The least said the better tbh.

Supporting the club, and not continually protesting, doesn't automatically make you a gullible happy clapper.

RAWA was set up to listen to and represent the supporters, establish and maintain a dialogue with the club, etc.

Why they decided to ignore all of that and grab pitchforks is beyond me tbh.

I don’t think there’s a crisis at all. We’re winning games again which is all anyone ultimately cares about. The Donald stuff has been going on in the background since the summer. And I’m not convinced he would have spent this month anyway.

We've won two games and drawn three, if we carry on getting results, especially a win against Wycombe, should see us right up there and
I take it that they've retaliated aften how they've been hung out to dry when Donald told them Dell were taking over.

He lets his mouth go too quickly and too often.

He should learn from Ashley tbh who speaks once every five years.

Or Ellis Short ?

No, wait,

Someone was selling those on here a few weeks ago. I hear he is now baking in the hot sun on some far away tropical island...………………..

Short and Ashley both lasted a decade despite winning nothing and suffering relegations.

Donald has lasted one season despite having us at Wembley twice, no relegation and after attracting billionaires to invest in the club.

Totally agree mate.

I believe that Stewart Donald has painted himself in to a corner alienating himself after losing two important directors without replacing them , Public Relations and Commercial Directors are important in the smooth running of any business and the task of running everything himself is beyond him . The fanzines protest has provided him with a convenient exit opportunity and he has been given the perfect excuse to put the club up for sale , the fanzines are a small part of the fan base and though interesting are NOT the fans spokesperson and never have been nor ever should be . To use the fans as an excuse is unacceptable and cowardly , whatever happened to the stiff upper lip and the I will show them attitude that people used to have , spitting your dummy out and throwing your toys out of the pram is not becoming of an owner of our club . If you want to leave Mr Donald do not use SAFC fans as an excuse !!!

He's virtually said FPP aren't interested in our club, just him.

Well fek off to Rotherham and see if they follow you there eh?

There's a lad over the road(GarethQ) insinuating that there was something prompted the fanzines action but that it's not for general circulation. Anyone heard owt?

I was told that Methven upset RAWA with his attitude and comments.

But that's quite commonly known.

I was also told that FPP have made it clear that they want the club but only at a certain price and without Donald/Sartori.

I'd chosen not to post that, as I was awaiting correlation, but you've asked so I've replied.

Donald is claiming FPP aren't interested in the club, just him and his bloody vision!

What a ludicrous thing to say.

I still think the fanzines were were of order, no matter what was said.

Yep, if that was the case it should be an open and shut case. And of course, despite being fairly private individuals, they could always leak news of their interest to a journalist and watch as the pressure ramps right up on Donald. If they're interested I imagine they'll move soon, but I'm a bit worried that they aren't. Time will tell I guess

I do not think that it would be unreasonable for the FPP syndicate as investors to be making a comment on the current situation at the club , are they interested in maintaining their investment or possibly increasing their involvement . They made all the right noises concerning the fan base and the opportunities the club presented , now is the time to say definitively whether they are prepared to walk the talk or walking away .

TBH mate I disagree.

But even if I agreed it won't happen.

They won't make any comments, or statements, unless they take over.

.
This is what I'd expect. Any positive comment they may make would only improve SD's bargaining position and they have no need of making a negative statement

I think a positive comment would finish Donald off tbh. Currently the fan base is split, partly because there's no obvious white knights riding in. Who does Donald sell to? Will he just maximise his profit and sell us to anyone who will pay? Grass isn't always greener etc. If FPP let it be known that they're interested but only at the price they think is fair? If that was leaked to a respected journalist the fans would turn en masse on Donald, they'd be desperate for him to sell and they'd see any refusal to sell as greed (even if FPP put an unrealistically low value on us). At that point things would get very uncomfortable for Donald and he might be more keen to go. If they want us I think they just have to say the word
