Jerel, can you explain how you belive Cardiff city FC is being exploited.
Yes: A) Tan lying to the fans, B) Tan effectively holding the club to ransom, C) the main reason for the kit change being Far East marketing opportunities, D) the selfish imposition of Far Eastern imagery onto the badge, disguised as Welsh imagery, D) having read the report from the meeting held with disgruntled ST holders, the total lack of grace and vision from the Cardiff-based directors.
I struggle to see the logic behind a real fan asking for their season ticket money back. A real fan would turn up if the players had to play in vest and pants, surely?
Maybe they see their role as fans not just as people wot shout 'come on City', but as the only unchanging constant in the club who should be there to enshrine the CCFC's proud traditions and protect them when they're under threat.
There is no need to change it: Mr Tan made $1bn dollars in the far east, lets give him a chance eh? Until I make $1bn I will assume he's a bit more switched on than me and knows what he's doing. Our position is untenable and if he thinks that's a way out of it, and to the Prem, then hey who am I to question him?
My philosophy would be more like 'until he attends hundreds of games of the club I love, then hey, who is he to go round making ham-fisted changes to our idendity?'
Ripping out the soul: really? its a red shirt you drama queen.
All the history: are they scratching our name off the FA cup? Overturning those euro results? No. Again, stop being a drama queen.
I don't believe it was me who said either of those things, so I'll let someone else answer that. And it's not just a red shirt, it's the badge, soon-to-be nickname and way the club is perceived by your fans and others.
Tan did it on a whim, because he can: Yes, that sort of behavior makes you rich.
He did it on a whim, because he can. There, you said it. Not for money reasons. Not to improve the club. For himself and his ego and his all-important plastic fans at home who want Premier League football on their tellies and gullible foreigners waving their country's flag in adulation at the God-like Saint Vincent of Tan and his merry men.
I think with the numbers involved we'd have more to worry about from the portion of the crowd that would like us to play with a pointy ball. This is a non-issue with most of the trouble coming from fans we'd rather be shot of anyway.
The only evidence people seem to be quoting for that is a Wales Online poll which was rigged by Swansea fans.
Let 'em go, sod 'em, they'll be back. Should we blacklist? Probably not, though I'd kinda like to. But definitely lose their perks and I think they should be prioritised below even General Sale for one next season should we go up.
£10 says they're all dancing in red if we go up.
Firstly, I can see why so many complain about your atmosphere when you can't even be united as a fanbase. Secondly, you can't put someone below General Sale unless you give Ticket Office staff mugshots of every single ST abstainer and tell them not to sell them tickets.
Anyway, that would be a severe contravention of Football League rules and I imagine your own club's Constitution/Fan Statement so would be easily rescinded.
I'd also like clarification on that point.
Do you mean they are trying to use us to make money? Isn't that the point of a business?
Serious Point:
Holy **** guys, I've just written a business plan. The crux of it is, I'm trying to make a profit! Am I in trouble? Do I need to re-write it? Aww no the Mrs is going to be piiiiissed when I tell her I can't make any money.
Ahhhhh she'll be fine, as I can wear Blue, and not only when I have an affair.
(having an affair.....playing away... get it? see what i did there?)
But the club's top tier have already said there's no business plan, and no vision, strategy or research which shows they will make money from the rebranding. And no, I don't think the
point of football clubs is to make money. The point of football clubs is to provide a community service: the joy of the beautiful game. And the fans are the most important thing to a football club. Not the fat cats skimming profits off the top whose wages you pay.
Leeds swapped their blue ones for white!!!
Yes, before we had any history or fan culture to speak of. Before Don Revie [NB: manager changing colours for truly ambitious reasons, not Chairman looking for money-spinning/vanity project], there was very, very little to distinguish Leeds from any other no-mark club.
Seriously though I hate the red kit and hope we are back in blue asap.
I support Cardiff City though and theres no way id not go because of a change of colour.
Those asking for refunds seem to have no answer on how we stay in blue and pay off £70m of debts.
Presumably, either have Tan pay the money he clearly has like a good owner, or look for someone else to take over the reins.
However other than the tiny minority who are actually saying they hope we lose I hope they are all back asap.
Fair play to you for that and the other stuff.

I'm sure this red fad won't last more than half a decade maximum anyway.
