Ange has said that neither Micky or Romero is 'at all close' to needing surgery.

I'll take that with a pinch of salt. Relieved if true.

If he plays for Argentina before Spurs it will be a joke and surely the nail in the coffin

Solanke, Micky and Romero have all been given 7-10 days as their return date.

I'd be very surprised if they're all thrown straight in against AZ.

Davies has been carrying a knock and will miss City but will be fine for AZ.

Werner was available for selection against Ipswich but wasn't selected. Nor is there much need to select him again this season.

No idea what's wrong with Davies but he won't be available tomorrow for City.
Have to wonder if we'll be getting a video for Cuti's return, especially as he was glimpsed in the one for Vicario's return

Solanke has to hurry the **** up, man. Needs just three league goals and I beat Piskie in our bet seeing as Havertz is out for the season.

I know relative to the positions they play, Romero and VdV are "better players", but in terms of importance for the team I would argue that Solanke is more important. True we did ok in the last match for goals, but I think we really need that focal point in attack, while in central defence we can "muddle through".

What were the odds?

Happy to enforce it if necessary. Piskie is my plaything on the war thread.

The more I analyse it, the more I'm convinced that Ange's style is overall chaotic attack by design, but with a 'linchpin' in each three main areas of the pitch tying everything together. In theory, these should be:
Romero
Bentancur
Solanke

In theory, they should serve as the anchors of their thirds, allowing everyone around them to enjoy organised chaos.

The problem is they have all had significant injury problems and so all we've had for months on end has been nothing but the organised chaos.

In his first few months, Solanke seemed to get sucked into that chaos and ran around the final third like a headless chicken, often needlessly dipping into the middle third too. Over time, he appeared to grow into his understanding of the role and the whole team looked much better as a result.

6 month avi bet over who scores the most league goals. Havertz is 2 in front at the moment.

I’ll be livid if I don’t win this now.

For the neutral :

Solanke to score nowt up to the final game,
Scores one in normal time.
Gets the other two in Bergwijn time.
