Finally are we all SR out?

I think people need to take a bit of a step back from these reports TBH. We don't know if they're accurate for one thing. SR have many faults, but judging by what they have done at Saints (which is the only way we can accurately assess them), something seems a bit off to me. One thing they haven't done is cut costs off the pitch.

They literally made hundreds of redundancies for normal folk after we first got relegated, so I'd very much disagree <laugh>

Ok, I forgot about that. But that's part and parcel for most clubs relegated from the PL. Since then, I don't recall them cutting costs. In fact they have big plans for the area around the stadium.

How do you know he's not? Is he worth £5m? He went out on loan and got sent back early. Hardly a ringing endorsement.

Also, my "bang average" comment wasn't targeted at him specifically, but in general at some of these multi club deals you hear about, as a way of pushing money around the groups. It's all utter bollocks.

Going back to Sanda, the boy will never play another 1st team game for us, mark my words.

He might be good enough for L1 in 28/29 tbf.

Valenciennes were in a financial mess before SR took over apparently, as are a lot of French clubs. Bordeaux filed for bankruptcy in 2024 (SR tried to help them by signing Mara for £10m while Newcastle were happy to watch them go bust). Also Lyon were relegated because of financial issues (though it was later overturned).

I think the reality with Valenciennes is that SR bit off more than they can chew. The fans are just looking for someone to blame, understandably (but probably not rationally).

Wonder if there is anything in this from Blackmore. We can only dream.

Writing off a 19 year old centre back and saying he'll never play another first team game is a pretty wild claim.
The same has been said about a certain 20 year old striker we sold in the summer.

Kayi Sanda might turn out okay, but that £5m was a ridiculous fee. Especially when you consider Edwards is only worth £4.5, Quarshie £3m, and Wood around £5m.

If AA, Archer and THB are off, is this the last chance fir SR to recoup some money before selling up?? Something is beginning to smell off

That is totally illogical. If they sell up, the players would be included in the assets.

Depends if they are classed as “book value” when doing the valuation though, which would be significantly lower than what we could sell them for, otherwise top flight football clubs would all be going for billions of pounds

Pretty sure they can’t sell players then just pocket the money though when they sell. The money would be included in the clubs accounts

Plus the fact that a club hardly ever gets the entire transfer fee in one go anyway.

Haven’t been on this page for quite a while. Quite surprising that some of the Rosie’s have migrated over to SR Out. Great but in someways troubling as if they do decide a cut & run, the transition will be horrendous. Have a feeling Dragan is ok but at end of the day he’s #1 & the buck stops with him. Player & manager recruitment has been abysmal.& whatever their progress outside of the playing surface, we’ve regressed & that’s on them (please don’t start on Goa; that ship has sailed, although I’d agree he didn’t help). Now’s now tho.

It’s all Gao’s fault. It was inevitable

Must be one of the multi club benefits we dont see anything about.
