Strange decision by Sol Campbell to bring this up, for the life of me can't see any reason for it. There is no evidence to back him up, can't remember any racial incidents involving him, though no doubt he would have got some rock apes abusing him occasionally, as still happens with black players. He has always seemed a gentleman off the pitch, and smart and savvy in his personal business. He must feel pretty strongly to raise this issue so long after retirement. Rather than join the knockers, I hope he comes to terms with this problem. He was a great defender and player for his Club and country, even racked with injury.

By making the comment he has, Campbell has clearly demonstrated the reason why he was never chosen to be captain! He must have known there were 4 captains beforehand who were black! Clearly he wasn't bright enough to hold the post of captain!
