OK WILL TRY AND SIMPLIFY IT SOME MORE for you...............…
There are 4 countries ENGLAND SCOTLAND NI and WALES [ THATS THE UK ] the GOVERNMENT /CENTRAL OFFICE extracts taxes from the residents of those 4 countries from which it pays the EU its annual "fee" [ granted some in any of the countries may pay more or less tax than average ]
the population of ENGLAND is circa 54.8m plus, SCOTLAND is circa 5.4m WALES is circa 3.1m and NI just circa 1.9m now add together the "other 3 and it is circa 10.4m …. better talk net [2017 ?] is in the region of £9bn ………….
fair shares ….. £2.25 bn each ! no we pay [ central government nett £9 bn ]
population Ratio to Scotland is about 10 /1 Wales 18/1 NI 27/1 or ENGLAND V THE OTHER 3 is 5.4 /1 .
so in the pot goes £5.4m to every £1million raised from the other 3... good job it isn't split 4 ways! for them ! IF IT WAS WE ENGLAND WOULD £MILLIONS BETTER OFF .. NI skint in a week …..

Right, I understand what you're getting at now. I was referring to tax revenues, you're referring to EU contribution, which is where the confusion was. Possibly my fault, my apologies.

I've definitely been guilty of some negative behaviour on here on multiple occasions to be fair but fair play to ya I'll take the comments. <laugh>:emoticon-0167-beer::emoticon-0167-beer:

I wouldn’t be able to vote UKIP. I don’t follow them, but my understanding is they are even further to the right now than they were under Nigel Farage , as a left of centre person that’s not at all appealing to me.

UKIP have positions that are not right wing. Its a fallacy purported by the establishment and its liberal left. UKIP will associate with others who share similar views and in the one eyed world view of the supposedly Liberal left associating with means you are.

Wanting to cap immigration is not extreme right wing, having concerns about Islamic extremism is not far right wing. Liberal lefties tell people what to think, and if they smear enough people believe it without pulling back the bedsheets to see what is really going on.

UKIP have environmental positions similar to the Greens but never get called Left wing environmentalists

And no I do not vote for UKIP. The most right wing party I have voted for was Nu Labour.

I think it's more the alignment of UKIP with certain people (i.e. Tommy Robinson) rather than their policies themselves which taint them with the tag of having gone more right-wing.

Well said Clifton<applause>

Get what you're saying and I 100% agree with you.......but it was a way (if there's no other way) to try and help bring most of the country together again.
The whole referendum has divided the nation along with families and friends (like you stated on here). In my view, if parliament alone are unable to reunite us then maybe this is the only way...I don't really see, even if we have a new PM or a general election, anything will change.
I thought like you, that Remain should not be a choice, but what deals are there currently? I think if like I said, we all had deals to vote for (because they were decent) then it's more likely we would still come out of the EU, even if it were up against Remain.........don't forget, I did say, that at least 30 million people would have to vote or we go out with a No Deal...
The problem is the majority of MP’s don’t want to leave and won’t vote to leave. Any deal they would be prepared to vote for won’t be leaving, we are either going to end up half in , half out , or remain in.

the feeling of the country could well see them with seats in the EU NOT GOING TO EXPLAIN HOW IT WORKS... but the less voters for TORIES /LABOUR THE MORE FOR BREXIT party they could conceivably along with UKIP GET 20 OF THE 70 ODD SEATS... they will get my vote

Bet your life the Tories and Labour will find a way to come together to get the softest Brexit ever.
They'll be scared witless.

I do like the way Farage can talk his way out of a paper bag......the EU mob can throw what they like at him....but he will always have a constructive comment to hit back.......and takes no **** either...He has more ammo in his locker than Labour or Conservatives would only dream about!!!

given a choice between him Boris and Jacob I would settle for him ……………….

GOT SO CARRIED AWAY LISTENING TO/WATCHING UTUBE I forgot to post the above . went to bed at 6 and boy oh boy it is not until you see "ALL" /A LOT of the interviews that you see there is a distinct group of about 12 -15 mostly labour / liberal / snp that have been put up as total whaco's ......….DA the most prevailent……….. next to the unelected EU mob lambasted not just by Nigel but others as well, when he , Nigel F talks about the unelected trying to take over the United states of EUROPE, and how they Bully or trick their way round to getting things passed, [ backdoor] those reps from those countries sit cowering [ as the camera quickly flashs to them, ] knowing they have not had the balls to stand up for themselves.... and one thing is certain southern EUROPE, Italy especially is jockeying for position to leave …………..
one very pungent point is that the UK could if not leaving soon be strapped for another £60bn with very little coming back as aid or rebate … without this money the EU WILL BE WELL STRAPPED … as Italy only pays in £4bn and will need bailing out ...to boot [ no pun intended ]….
note
figures quoted in £ as opposed to Euro
a thought …………...
EU v A FAMILY …. EU has 3 or so earners to house and feed 25 others who minimalistically contribute little but take a good share
Family has 2 bread winners [ earning maximum they can ] and family members contribute some but need support
both pay their bills and have luxuries like holiday etc their budgets balance
Both lose a major earner HUSBAND / WIFE LEAVES !? but no one else can step into the breach... they still have bills to pay but are then drastically short of income … WOULD IT BE A NICE SCENARIO FINANCIALLY ?
