Well quite. Which goes to show what a tremendous job Mike Phelan is doing with such limited resources. Yet some still call for his head.

ha Dawson has just been given a 1 year extension after his comments this morning! Does Ehab need a nanny to remind him to tie his shoe laces? .....what am I saying...he probably uses Velcro
 
This is unbelievable. Our captain leader and genuinely nice guy says in the presser about the uncertainty of the summer not under contract. Then suddenly he's been given a year extension and nobody has said anything. [HASHTAG]#askehab[/HASHTAG]
 
It can't possibly have been done between Dawson's comments and Phelan's can it?

This squad is easily good enough to stay up.

I'm not being whooshed here am I Chazz, surely you're not serious? This squad (before injuries and departures) was good enough to come fourth in the Championship - cash WAS spent late in the day but we both know the squad hasn't been strengthened by the summer signings. You didn't have to be Mystic Meg to have us as nailed-on certs for one of the three relegation spots.

You are probably one of only few City supporters who think that.

We have no-one who scores goals in the Premier League, we have no depth in the squad whatsoever, and the players we have do not suit our best system. Our best player barely fits into the 3-5-2.

Our transfer policy has been a joke for a while now, we sign players who are decent players but don't necessarily suit our system. There is no joined up thinking there are last minute purchases. Our squad is not good enough, and whether Phelan is doing a good job or not is not what this debate is about.

Pick a burnley/city eleven and see how many burnley get in. Bet it isn't 3. Same with sunland. I saw nothing in boros team either.

That's why the teams you mention will be in the bottom 3/4 come the end of the season - the defence/midfield are all much of a muchness, Burnley have Sam Vokes & Andre Gray; S'land have Jermain Defoe, Borini & Watmore; Boro' have Negredo ..... we have a misfiring & mardy AbelH, Snoddy plus two grafters in Mbokani & Dio. We won't score enough nor create enough to stay up ..... I love your positivity Chazz but, I don't think we're nearly good enough, saying that, it would be great to be wrong though!

Andre gray has one goal. People say we don't have goal scorers, we do just don't be expecting 30 a season.
Phelan pissed off abel. That was a disaster.
Negredo was getting stick until the last two games as he hadn't scored enough.
Don't rate boring, Watmore was getting dogs abuse recently.
Agree about Defoe yes.

I think it's the self loathing hull city fans enjoy, not you spes, were **** we always have been and we always will be bollocks.

Gray, Voakes, Defour, Hendrick - and that's just off the top - what do you mean, from what you saw against Boro - you never went - Negredo is better than what we have by a racing mile - we don't have any Prem quality attackers thanks to fatty - his record is Prozzy, Graham, Sagbo, Aluko, Jelly, Long who he got rid of, Hernandez, who has never succeeded in the Prem and Diomande, even Keane was fatty's man - there lies the difference - even under Brownio with a limited budget, we had Campbell, Windass, Marlon, - even Folan and Hesselink were better than the likes of Prozzy - only Altidore was as bad as Prozzy, Graham and Sagbo
