You keep on letting your prejudice guide your replies, and it's boring.

As I mentioned, try raising it with the person that actually started that shift.

    Come from there...

But we don't include the suburbs but include everywhere in a 60 mile radius for other clubs to explain why they get better crowds. At least some do.

It's the mermaids to the east that let us down.

That was used as a reason for the lack young players coming through years ago by Dolan. He said if you drew a circle around Elland Road for 30 miles there were far more available than Hull because half of that circle would be in the sea. Brilliant was our Tel.

I had no idea the Pennines were so densely populated.

You always quote Leeds having a metropolitan area of millions. And other places whilst only quoting how many live in Hull's boundaries.
30 miles was the distance you could travel then to train with a team. Later they altered it to 1 hours travelling time and then upped it further. There are quite a few from Brid with TWS but not at City because TWS send scouts out when given recommendations.

There'll be a few with YO, DN and HU postcodes. And some with Wales postcodes from the John Charles years.

I’m from Ferriby, not born but grew up there my whole childhood. HU14 post code. I’m from Hull as far as I’m concerned, the fact they’re called the West Hull Villages is an easy identifier. Hull City boundary limits versus East Yorkshire, grow up whoever gets hung up on that.

My great grandad was born in Ferriby. Although that's because that's what Daiycoates crossing was defined as then. :emoticon-0105-wink:

Given the success that RU tend to make of things, I can see this taking off similar to the T20 in Cricket, which must be a further worry for Rugby League.

The metropolitan borough of Leeds has a larger population than the entire East Riding, let alone the metro area. Chalk and cheese. Given we're the only East Riding club in the EFL, anything as far north as Driffield, as far west as Howden and as far east as Holderness is 'local'.

Castro does make a half-decent point about the lack of support within Hull itself. You're more likely to see someone wearing a KR shirt or a Leeds/Liverpool/Man Utd shirt than a City shirt in Hull during non-match days. I've even seen people wearing West Ham and Aston Villa shirts on Holderness Road during a Wednesday afternoon. It's bizarre. The egg-chasing supporters on both sides of the River Hull will support KR or FC but when it comes to football, they'll support literally anyone else but City. Most of the City fans I grew up with in East Hull couldn't give a **** about rugby and most of the rugby fans didn't give a **** about City.

-> Two-thirds of City pass-holders are in the East Riding, at least they were in the last figures I saw
    That's pretty shocking tbf

-> anything as far north as Driffield, as far west as Howden and as far east as Holderness is 'local'.
    What about Brid?

-> You're more likely to see someone wearing a KR shirt or a Leeds/Liverpool/Man Utd shirt than a City shirt in Hull during non-match days.
Often seems like a fair few kids wear City shirts but a fair few 'grown men' (*) wear Liverpool, Man U or RL shirts. ? (* me being unusually polite tonite for some reason)

At the centre of all this tedium there is an important key point, that far too few people within the City of Hull actually support City. And that's been the case for decades.

I think that addressing that should be a priority for the club. It's always felt like we just accept this and have never really sought to change it. I think in any other industry there'd be huge campaigns to try and capture more of that market but City have always been weirdly idle on this.
