I have a story for you gents... Slightly ashamed of myself, but I'll tell it anyway...
I really wanted to see Thor 2... Now, most of my friends from the area I actually met at Uni and subsequently have moved back down to their hometowns... And all my work mates were, well, at work, so I asked this lass I knew had a crush on me, as we all know it's socially unacceptable to go alone to see a film. Back-up plan was buy two tickets anyway and then loudly bemoan my bad luck at being "stood-up", and then place my popcorn on the spare seat... Anyway, this lass said yes. All I hoped for was that she didn't ask what it meant... That hope was shattered within seconds...
"Is this a date".. To which I honestly replied, "I just want to see Thor 2, you can call it what you want!", hoping this would stub it out successfully.... And it did, for a few minutes, til the opening credits. "But is this a date though?"...
I'm not proud, but when I get irritated, I get more flippant and sarcastic... and it's very irritating being talked at in the cinema, when you simply want to watch Chris Hemsworth hit people with a hammer, so I said "If it's less pressure, think of it as a pre-relationship interview... Question 1, who do you see yourself being with in 5 years time? Question 2, I've been looking over your relationship history and it looks messy. I would like to stress my client has a preference for loyalty... Also, do you have any references?"
Long story short, I saw most of Thor 2 alone, and it was f***ing awesome
