Vegans just come across as food terrorists to me. Do what you want but don’t ram it in everyone’s faces ffs.
Back a few years when Bev was a vegan (it didn’t last) we had gone to the local Chinese takeaway. She mentioned to the counter server who then got the ‘chef’ that she was vegan and also had one or two food allergies (they have lasted) and what was available. The ‘chef’ thought carefully for a good minute or so before recommending sweet and sour chicken with egg fried rice. Not too surprisingly Bev decided to not order anything. Also somewhat surprisingly the food was actually rather good.
