Pards reckons that CB's scoring goals was the big difference this year. Did you know that the Champions registered a mighty 5 goals from CB's - 3 from Evans alone - whilst runners up Man City clocked an impressive 2 goals. Given we're not quite at that level, you'd be excused for thinking maybe Stoke would be a more comparable source....well, they chipped in with 3. 1 for each CB (Huth, Shawcross, Upson). So even if we got to those giddy heights, I cannot quite work out how 3 more goals would have made such a cataclysmic difference.
Why do we even have these end of season internationals? Just to remind us how lethargic we'll be at the next major tournament? We looked paggered again and some looked on their jollies. So what next? We're off to ****ing Rio to inflict further tiredness and embarrassment! Its all about the money for the FA and the PL. The FA organise ridiculous games (where half the team don't turn up and the rest look knackered), and the PL refuse a winter break because it interferes with their money making league.
The FA are completely toothless and they only have themselves to blame after bending over for the PL to deliver the schlong all those years ago. We need some intervention in this scenario. You can see what is coming, we'll upgrade the coaching and youth systems, but then pummel the talent we produce in a long hard season. They'll all then sit round and go "well that was a big waste investment". why can't we just go the whole hog like other nations and cure all the problems instead of just some. Dispense with these ****ty games, upgrade the coaching, facitlities and youth systems, and introduce a fecking break in our season!!!
