Silenced the miserable sods complaining about our lack of aggression not making them follow on. Cookie and Flower take some serious stick considering their record compared to previous managers and captains. I'm sure many would point to the depth of talent we now have and the all conquering Windies or Austrailians not being around, but the South Africa ain't too shabby and we've had plenty decent teams in the past and done feck all because of mismanagement. Not forgetting that both are pretty new to captaincy/management and will improve as time/experience passes. We look in great shape for the Ashes now. If Compton can go and get himself some big hundreds on the flatbed at Somerset, regain a bit of confidence, we'll have some good competition in the batting ranks. You know Cook, KP, Trott will turn it on come Ashes time. With Root looking terrific, and Bairstow showing some promise, we just need to get Bell and Compton firing. Michael Carberry is firing on all cylinders too should a desperate need arise. Personally I'm just hoping for good weather once we get round to first day at Durham so I can enjoy a day out dressed as Rolf Harris Actually we are looking for suggestions for our fancy dress - bearing in mind we actually want to get in! Durham are going ok in the Championship too. Borthwick, Stokes, Onions, Mustard looking set for good seasons. And the likes Wood, Buckley, Pringle, Jennings all showing a bit of promise. Losing Benky was a blow and obviously our batting looks the achillies heel but you never know if the likes of Smith and Stoneman can step up to the plate or even young Jennings. We'll retain everyone Obi except for Willo, Obertan, Gosling, Shola, Jonas, Alfie, Simpson, Harper, Shola (just to be sure). They will all be replaced by leading domestic hopes like Dunk, McManaman, Ince, Forrest, McCarthy, Rose, Moore, Austin, Rhodes in a ridiculous spending spree. You know I never lie to you.
