****ing hell. I used to run outside, but the weather got too **** to do so, so I haven't been able to work out for the last 6-7 weeks consistently.
I've just got myself a manual treadmill. One of the ones which have no motor in them, so you have to use your own force to get it to move. It's also set on an uphill incline, and holy ****, it's a ****ing work out indeed.
Jogging outside on the grass or on the field is only half as intense as this thing.
I was skeptical at first seeing as you have to keep your hands on the handlebars, but as long as you don't lean your entire body weight on the machine, and only lightly rest your hands on it, then it gives you an incredible workout.
I only managed to do 20 minutes on it on my first night, and about 1.8km. 1.8km uphill feels like double that if you're going uphill.

I'm proud Tash, you managed to hold onto something 'else' for a whole 20 minutes?
This truly is excellent progress.

Tash. You soft ****e.
I was popping out 10k runs in Consett in 3 inches of snow. Get yourself out in the fresh air and man up. The treadmill is bad for your joints.
Did the police manage to catch you in the end?
