I'm not massively bothered by not signing a striker, I think Best and Ben Arfa will be adequate while Ba is away, but it pisses me off how they keep changing their minds. At least Pardew has come out and said this before the window though, rather than the **** we had over the summer.

Hopefully we'll get a centre half and maybe a left back. I'd like to see a right winger as well, regardless of how you rate Obertan we need cover/competition in that position.

I think we might still be interested in a striker, should the right one be available. If we made it public knowledge that we were after a striker we can get gouged over the price, if we're not known to be after one we're in a slightly less desperate position.
 
Dont think we should get too downbeat about this. Benny and Best can hold their own. So, I dont think goals will be a problem when Ba goes.

However, I personally think we will still sign a striker. I think Pards is just being shrewd
 
What happened to Nolan Roux? I haven't watched any Ligue 1 all season so I have no idea if he still has potential or if he has fizzled out.

Asked someone on here a while ago and they said he was very very raw, even more frustrating than Obertan. Maybe one for the future when he refines his game.

Cheers. I remember seeing him in a few games over the last couple of years and being impressed, would be good to see him live up to that potential.
 
Anyone else feeling the weather? My patio doors are about 15 feet away from the Tyne and it looks like the water is about to smash through the glass. <yikes>
