ffs, I'm so depressed about being unemployed. It's nearly 10 months now. Has anyone else spent this long unemployed? I'm sending off so many application forms. Feck!
10 months is nowt man been unemployed for 2 and a half years, done voluntary work placements during that time, should try it keeps the mind focused and potential employers are impressed by it.
Well I did once spend 17 years unemployed . In all seriousness though, just keep trying and something will come up. At least you are making the effort to get a job unlike some lazy bastards on the dole .
University Student, don't look good when you finish education just before your 24th birthday, put knew the risks of that before going to University.
Have you thought about maybe getting a degree, Tash? edit: Ah, Cbrad might have a better knowledge of that then..
Nah mate. Because I didn't really do well in my AS Levels. I hated sixth form, my heart wasn't in it and I just lost interest altogether a few months before my exams because my heart was set on my apprenticeship with the NHS. So I couldn't really qualify for a degree. And also I'm not paying this crappy government 8 grand a year for a degree that isn't guaranteed to get me a job.
Having seen the post that Tash has put up I'd say he has his head screwed on as far as that is concerned. Though if you did go and you got a part time job it does make a difference, I couldn't because the situation with my disability living allowance. Though somewhere between 7 and 9k a year is a lot of money and would put a lot of people off now.
Every two weeks I go to sign in. I signed up with Addecco a few months ago. They've been utterly ****e. No help at all.
Been unemployed since October last year, and yeah, it is ****ing draining. It gets harder the longer it goes on too.
Wait, i thought you were the guy that was taking CV's off us all to hand in to that call center place?
Bloody hell. I bet he loses it http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...ne-Pennants-driving-chrome-for-Christmas.html
All the experience you've had should make you a good teacher for anybody starting out on the job seeking market. Could be a lot of money in it. I'll be your financial adviser.
