barcelona don't have a plan b. this is extremely well known. its unusual for a club to be good enough defensively to beat them but chelsea were and thoroughly deserved their victory over the two games. norwich do not play one system or style of play. they cannot be found out in the way they set up. thats part of our success. as for the manager or the players leaving - you could say the same about every single club in the land. my ONLY worry would be if david mcnally left. if he is still there, i fully trust him to secure the best manager to carry on the good work. if we lose players, well, teams lose players - what do you want me to say! again, we have the right man in the job to replace them.

you have constantly made out that we are in a really dangerous position next season - this simply isn't true. so many things would have to go wrong in order for us to be in serious, serious trouble. that doesn't mean we won't get relegated, but at this moment in time we are in a strong position, so you can stop your attempt at scaremongering

Hate to stick up for a scummer, but I actually think he is right in some of the points he has made.

Course he wants us to fail, just like we want them to fail. He was looking for reasons which could be a cause for concern next season and most of the reasons are valid points. Next season is going to be hard and Guru has stated reasons why, the fact we can get found out. I know we switch the way we play a lot, but we always go at teams and I think teams will look to exploit are attacking mentality next year. Not many teams expected us to go for that approach maybe the reason for a succesful season. Also teams will look at defensive errors this season and pressure our defence more, regardless of who we sign.

I agree also about a poor end to season can damage mentally, it's always in the back of the heads I don't care if they do go on holiday and refresh they will always be slightly worried about the end of the previous season. It's the same if we had a good end to the season, and i've seen people saying on here about beating Villa and Liverpool will mean we can go into next season confident. To say it won't happen if we have a poor end to season is pretty naive.

The points guru have said are pretty expected from a Ipswich fan, looking at possibilities why we could go down, I hardly blame him, we could give reasons why they won't have a successful season. We have reasons why we can stay up, but we should focus on the negative points and see what we can do to make sure it's not a problem next season.

Guru made some valid points, and points I would consider factors which make next season difficult. I am positive about next year and I don't really care if Ipswich fans disagree, it's all opinions and there are entitiled to have theirs and enjoying debating it out. No because 44.4444444444444% of promoted teams will go down in their 1st season (if QPR goes down this season) or 38.888888888% if QPR stay up.

that would mean at best you have a 28.444444444444444% ish chance of surviving past 2 seasons.

What we are saying is that there is such a thing as "second season syndrome" and it can't be easily dismissed as an urban myth. Whether you stay up or go down after next season really makes no odds with me. All I really care about is how well we do but it is all part of the "forum experience" to share our opinions on our rivals.

because there has been a definate increase of the second season relegation in these years, probably due to the increase of overseas investors. I can't fiddle the numbers.
