Once again supers, you take a post and go off on a totally different direction. Next season you won't have the same belief, take this season you had this 'we haven't lost 2 games on the trot' belief, that carried you through the start of the season. Next season as i have just posted, you success or failure will be down to pure talent or lack of because you won't be the unknown.

how the hell can you know we won't have the same belief?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

we lost 'two on the bounce' in games three and four this season, so it has nothing to do with anything! it was inevitable we would lose because some of the teams in this league are MILES better than us!! you are clearly so desperate for us to fail its making you come across like a total pillock mate - i really want to know how you can justify anything you say. its basically all nonsense and hypothetic scenarios which in all likelihood won't amount to anything at all because of your naive view of how good our squad is.

Do you really believe that being "unknown" really makes that much difference? That other premier league teams lose the games to so called unknown teams. I thought that there were televised games in the championship, no team is unknown. We got through purely because of talent, how could it possibly be anything else. It is as easy to argue that we survived this season, and there will be an instilled belief that we can compete.

i'm intrigued that guru, who has often claimed that us norwich fans are obsessed with ipswich, seems so obsessed with us that he has discovered the inner psychic of the entire norwich squad and is therefore able to determine how badly we'll do next term.

calm down supers, only making a pretty valid point. Answer me this, so you won't be the tiniest bit worried if you lose your last 2 matches (which you could well do) and get awful fixtures at the start of the next? and losing say your last 8 game premier league games (5 at the end and 3 at the start) won't add extra pressure to the players?

just scenario that could well happen! mate!

just taking an interest. I'm not in such a privileged position, it is just an opinion, I'm sure that in this great country of ours that is still ok!

its not really a valid point though! if we lose our final two matches, which is a possibility, then i most certainly will not be panicking! we've had a very difficult run-in and on paper at the start of the season, most people felt we'd do well to pick up three points from the final ten games - as it happens we've done much better than that! a new season is just that - a fresh start. we'll have a new look to our team, probably five or six new players. us norwich fans have literally nothing to worry about - we can look forward with intrigue towards the summer and see who our manager can bring in and wheel out. nobody can possibly know what our team will look like in august. we haven't looked out of place in this league this season - we look like we belong here, so why do we need to worry? we are all positive about next season though i fully expect that the aim is 17th or above. as i say, it'll be the target for the forseeable future - thats how football is right now.

not saying you can't have an opinion mate, but to claim we won't have the same belief is bizarre! if anything, they will have gained belief from this season!!

possibly, I'm just putting forward the negative yang to your positive ying. A lot could happen in the summer, you could lose some of your best players because other clubs will have noticed how well they have done, you could lose your manager, you could gain some players that can cope, you could gain some players that can't.

i think you show an alarming lack of knowledge of the quality that norwich have in their squad - a bit like most of the media in this country. you've merely pointed out everything that could possibly go wrong and not taken into account things that have been learnt. in reality, for everything to go wrong, we'd have to have an almighty collapse both on and off the pitch and that simply isn't going to happen. you'll have to be miserable for a whole more year about us being in the premier league again. sorry about that.

Now we've moved to all the things that would lead to Norwich having a terrible season, I thought it was just about lost momentum, jesus wept

thing is, he's fighting a losing battle longsight. but we know guru will come back for more attempts to convince us that our world is about to collapse. fact is, even if we lost our manager, lost our five best players and carrow road fell to pieces, it still wouldn't be a forgone conclusion that we would go down. we've put ourselves in a decent position where these things can be replaced with quality.

So actually you are agreeing with me, about the unknown thing (which you decided to take the piss on another thread) so if the media is the same you could have all the TV recordings in the world doesn't fully represent what happens on a pitch.

Take for instant Grant Holt, all the TV recordings in the world doesn't repersent that he is quite nifty for a fat bloater (he must be for a goal scoring oppotunity to be on the halfway line, but thats another story) so the first time a team plays against him they get caught out slightly but the will know the next time he is not that slow and adjust accordingly in their team selection.

So the unknown thing isn't as crazy as you make out.

eh? how am i agreeing with you? the media don't play games against norwich! are you seriously suggesting that opposition managers don't watch us and take all their information from the media? what kind of world do you live in?!

<laugh> genuinely, that is the most bizarre post you've done guru - total nonsense <laugh>

sorry, give me a moment - i'm still laughing at your previous post! <laugh>

i hope your manager doesn't get all his information from the football league show - if he does, its no wonder you've struggled! bless steve claridge...

    There is logic behind it.

Take QPR, they went down the more 'established' premier league players, how have they done? not very well, Take Cisse at Newcastle, how many people had heard of him before joining newcastle, yet i bet you he won't be as prolific next season because he would have be watched first hand.

Yes of course there will be exceptions with the likes of star players and more talented established premier players, so don't you agree that its not the craziest logic in the world?

Plus don't you think that QPR have improved when Mackie came back, an 'unknown'

He's just clutching at the negative straws, it'd take an Ipswich miracle for something catastrophic to happen to us next season. Lets look at the simple facts:

Lambert leaving - No approaches and if anyone were to approach we know that McNasty would send them packing, Lambert is happy and confident he can take us forward
    Odds of it happening <1%

Any of our "core" players leaving and by core I mean the ones we'd not want to see going, Holty, Pilks etc. Obviously this is harder to call, Lambert wouldn't stand in the way of players advancing their careers we know this BUT unless the club were minded to sell a particular player anyway we don't NEED to sell to balance the books and unless a stupid offer came in again I think it would meet a 2 word answer from McNasty
    Odds <10%

Any player PL brings in not fitting in and being a disaster - Not going to happen ILWT!!
    Odds on <0.01%

McNally leaving, settled, seems happy and is keen on working to move the club on
    Odds on <1%

Oh and as for the "fat bloater" comment that just shows up his silliness after Holty whipped his shirt off
