Blair in fact saved the labour party from extinction. It would have been better for the country if the loony left kept digging up the likes of Foot and Kinnock. The country was sick and tired of being held to ransom by Scargill, red robbo and fellow anarchists funded by the soviets.

You could be describing yourself here. No time is wasted though in an attempt to prevent someone with a nasty political agenda using this forum to pretend he cares about Scottish independence when in truth he is promoting an extreme left wing cause. Your mind is totally closed. You have not listened to one argument from others on here. You have insulted all of us - and then occasionally fed scraps of niceness to pretend you are not always rude. I have tried to get you to open your mind to the fact that the Yes campaign has refused to enter the real debate and tell us how they deal with the reality of a post Yes world - thy cannot and will not. It is you rather than me who is prejudiced - it menas pre- judge and you are guilty of that - as you listen to no arguments but parrot Yes propaganda. It may interest you to know that I honestly do not care which way the vote goes. Of course it should be NO as a Yes vote is bad for Scotland and the UK - however I am quite inclined to beleive if people want to shoot themselves in the foot they are entitled to do it.

During the course of this debate I have learned to deal with bigots, and people who are almost incapable of any form of reason. I have met people who have been scared of change and people who find it a problem to decide between a Mars Bar or a Twix. These people will vote NO. I have met the greedy people with their big houses and expensive cars, these people will vote NO. There are people who will vote NO because they feel they are deserting their brothers in the rUK. I feel sorry for them because they have been let down by their Labour Party and that will continue to happen if it is NO.

I will be voting YES :D The YES campaign has been amazing as thousands of people have come together to work for a dream of a new democratic Scotland. It's hard right now to believe that we will lose this because for months all we have seen in the streets and squares have been happy YES voters. Thousand upon thousand have been dancing ansd singing all over Scotland. No voters have been noticable only by their absence. Despite this absence I am welll aware of how close this referendum is.

The Yes campaign has been very well organised and very clever. The NO campaign has been pathetic. For Yes to con a lot of the people a lot of the time has been impressive. They need to thank their American tutors in grass roots delivery of dogmatic positions.

I have enjoyed some of the debate on here with some thoughtful and decent posters, and these are the people that I hope will be interested enough to consider the ramifications of these last couple of years in Scotland and what that means for the UK whatever the result today. The fantastic involvment in politics by the YES people shows that we can and will change the UK for the better and that in the end we will win. The 1000 year old elite has had another few bricks not out of its' walls.

You hypocrite - you have denigrated almost all of us much of the time and have turned most of your anger towards me as I have been most vocal in showing up your paucity of argument. Even now you suggest that the referendum which you acknowledge to be unique in some way portends how Scots will behave in future elections. They will return to their normal apathy. Again you show your left wing Socialist Workers Party credentials trotting out this 1000 year elite garbage.

I admit you have helped make this thread prosper. However your contribution to the debate has been almost non existent outside of Yes dogma. YOu still refuse to accept that the Scots are being asked to step off a cliff into the unknown and that Salmond has refused to provide any honest answers.

I will be glad when you return to your own board as debates without you rarely involve the degree of personal abuse you appear to find normal.

It took a week for the lefties to turn on Hollande when his promises turned to dust. How long would Salmond and his sidekick have?
 
Salmond will get shunted out at the next election. Labour see this as the perfect opportunity to create a socialist state. That is what the code for a new era in politics actually means. They lost England when the LAbour Party there grew up and realised that Benn, Kinnock, Foot politics had been crushed but see Scotland as fertile soil. The SNP will have lost its raison d'etre once they have won so will see support drift back to Labour.

I feel for anyone in Scotland who wants to earn decent money to have a good life for their family - it will all be taxed away to pay for freeloaders. We rejected that here in 1979. Oh and their added bonus they get CND too. Scotland will hide under a nuclear umbrella that someone else will pay for - but that is what Socialism is about :)

:) - that is my problem - I always refuse to give up on anyone - nobody is a lost cause - I might just hit on the one thing that will show Spurf the light :)

As a proud anglo-Scot and an even prouder British citizen, I would urge all the residents of the great country of Scotland to think long and hard before casting your vote on this historic day.

Our rich history together, our economic success, our great military and our keen rivalry between the countries of The Union is in the balance.

Sitting here listening to the results coming in and the NO votes seem to be marginally winning does this mean that after all the promises made to Scotland we can go back to hating them again LOL
 
Thanks be to God common sense prevails and the jingoistic nationalists (nazis) can crawl back under their rocks and I can return to a United Kingdom a free man and not have to suffer the indignity of suffering a moronic existence, ciao to the idiotic separatists and lets hop e=this brings the promised better together outcome and prosperous Scotland and UK we all deserve..
