Aye, i'm sure that's the biggest concern for Scotland and it's people right now, that Oil and Gas might be redundant in 20 years time and an alternative to plastic will be discovered. Just as well we are amply placed to take advantage of Solar, sea and wind power, we have plenty of that.

I won't be able to sleep now, i'm surprised every world leader whose economy relies on Gas and Oil gets any sleep at all.

And if we get attacked the pilots are unlikely to say "hang on lads - that big bit at the top is a nuclear free zone so you can't bomb them".

You may have many concerns and much to think about but I was addressing the issue of oil (and gas): how much remains and how much is it worth? I only commented as it keeps getting bandied about that the scotch will be wealthy off of these resources. I question how long that wealth will last.

If you think in the future you can market your solar (?), sea and wind power to the wider world, good luck with that.

This list of estimates of how long those resources will last completely misses the point which was me questioning for how much longer will those resources will be in demand.

If you all vote yes, then this thread will die, in fact most of GC will die because like the supermarkets, all broadband providers are pulling out of Scotland apparently.

Shame really, no supermarkets and we can't take the piss on here as you all starve to death.

You could all try eating oil. :D
