Like the SNP's plans (lack of) for an independent Scotchland.

    More ****e from Donny.

Most Scots come from the Picts and the Norse. The Gaels were mostly islanders and eventually moved north to the highlands.

If only Hun really did mean protestant, some of that would've made sense.

The only governing body in the UK to vote against action in Iraq was the Scottish Government.

I do know for a fact that, had we been independent, we wouldn't have been involved in that.

I see you know hee haw about Paisley too which has a higher rate of inward migration than Glasgow just now and, historically was always known as the more progressive part of Scotland - first purpose-built RC church since the reformation, first purpose-built Baptist church in Scotland and whilst Glasgow had a controlling party called Protestant Action, the speakers movement established in the Radical Wars (a war fought largely by the people of Renfrewshire against the Tories and Disraeli's militias in particular) and the progressives were pretty well known.

The town with the largest %age of Italian surnames is Paisley, there have been inward migrants to Paisley since the town's inception.

It was founded by St Mirin - an Irish immigrant and its most famous sons more often have Italian names than Scottish or Irish.

I was working in London last month - some extremely cool people live and work there.

It's a pity the surrounding counties of it are populated by aforementioned idiots tying flags to their Staffy-poles.

As far as I'm aware my wife has never been battered on this thread. Fact is, I'm not married so don't have a wife.

The granny shagger giving out sex advice, actually more plausible than his impotent views on politics.
