If the UK is working for Scotland, how can Ireland (which at Independence was by far the most undeveloped part of the UK) at the end of the worst recession in its history still have a bigger GDP per head than Scotland, including its oil?

The point is we would be better spending our oil money on ourselves rather than the rest of the UK. If we did that we would all be better off.
