My mate down the pub, who still maintains he is ITK, says that Fonte is off to United and will be gone by the end of next week.

It is better than spending all day in front of the telly or on the computer. Anyway I like to meet up with a few old mates a couple of times a week although as they are getting older they are becoming more argumentative and cantankerous and not quite such good company. You can only take just so much listening to people going on about their aches and pains. I usually have a chat with the know it all young ones and that is where the ITK bloke comes in. I don't know what he does for a living but he seems to know a great deal about matters at St Mary's or he likes us to think he does and he is adamant there will be two more signings and that Fonte is off.
Article on Puel likening Tadic as a number 10. This is something I talked about last season and also during this close season. I think it could work very well.

If Fonte goes, I'd ideally want 3 players - CB replacement, #10, and another Winger cum Striker with pace, that's more proven/highly rated than Redmond/J. Rod/Long.
We'll probably just get a #10 for £10-15m and a cheap young Fonte replacement for £5m though.
It's going to be a highly experimental and inconsistent season with so many young players IMHO, probably a base with next season being the one that's really in mind.
That's a huge ask LatvianDream!! Redmond is highly rated. Long has just proven he can do it last season. Reading your words, means buying a player from the Premier League as anyone else wouldn't be proven.
