Fonte looked totally disinterested when he came back after Portugal’s success. It seemed to me that he’d already made up his mind to look elsewhere, so I don’t think it was “our fault” that he went. I reckon his agent was whispering in his ear that he deserved better and he just wasn’t interested in our little club any longer.
