Birmingham are skint so I assume he would be relatively cheap which in theory might persuade teams to take a gamble on him. It will most likely come down to who offers him the most money as usual, so we just have to hope that West Ham/Everton/Leicester don't get involved

And who he’d like to have managing him, which swings an advantage back to us.

Sure, but I'd like to think people would want to play for a character like Ralph, over a Silva or Brodgers. But then footballers. Because money.

Meh everyone is different. I'd hate playing for someone like Adkins (for example) but others would love his positivity and energy. I said (when Poch was being linked to the Utd job) that I think Pogba would hate playing for someone like that who would make him run around loads when he knows he can be quality without doing that.

Hassenhuttl seems to me more about getting players super fit and the high press etc similar to Poch. If I were on the lazy side of professional football I might rather go and play for a manager who wouldn't expect me to press for 90 mins (or even 60 as I might be rotated due to fatigue) and go and earn more money as well whilst I'm at it.

That's just me though and I am a bit of a dick

Saw this on Instagram. Not sure what interview it's taken from. Love Maya! Easy to forget how long he's been with us.

Maya Yoshida:

"People know I have Improved since I arrived in England: I have good times and bad times but I am still here. People recognise Southampton as a Premier League Club - Not just a promoted club anymore and I have been there all the way. I've seen many great players fly away, but they are still part of it. It was a pleasure to play with them and I have been inspired by them. In Japan, they ask how we are so strong in helping players...Is it education? The scouting? The academy? I just say "Everything". I'd like to end like Gerrard, staying with the same team until the end; actually not Gerrard...Kelvin Davis, that's much better! We have to stay up this season, then we can be more positive for the next one and make something new - that's my feeling."

I think you’re overestimating how much rep hasenhuttl is receiving. If we stay up, and have a good top half season next year then that may be a factor.

As it stands, Leicester under Rodgers and Everton under silva would be much better options, objectively. So hopefully we spend some money for once.

I’m being optimistic!

I know what you are saying. Puzzled to know why you’d have hated playing for Adkins though.

Southampton women won 3-0 v Barton Rovers. Have now won 15 consecutive games.

If they carry on like that Ralph will have scrubbing the men’s boots in and around the first team soon.

There may be an opening too for some lucky gal to slice the half time oranges.

Annnnnd on a serious note so you lot turn your frowns upside down, it’s great to see.
