I actually didn’t really think he did. He had masses amount of pace and had that great run at Anfield and the two runs against Everton. Outside of that (ok, they were promising) I felt he didn’t really adapt. Maybe that was down to the coaches not giving him a chance, but I think we over hyped him a bit because he was one of our academy boys.

A bit like Sam now.

That and the fact that they are arguably the best players we have in their respective positions, and nothing else we’ve been trying has justified their exclusion.

A bit like almost every academy player who has a half decent debut.

Blimey. A midfielder scoring two goals in one game, rather than two goals in a season (if we’re lucky enough to have one as prolific as that, Hojbjerg excepted).
