Posting on here ...rather than Win Gin With Vin....because he might get excited thinking another person has entered. And by the way everyone....get on there and give it a go.....you only have a few days (how few seems to be a matter of debate...let's go for Friday). I was interested to see where entrants thought Saints would finish....anywhere between 6th (there's only one number 7....bless his little cotton socks) and 12th. I was wondering if no one thought we would finish below 12th or if (like me) they just couldn't bear to predict a worse position. I have moved from my start of season thoughts (8/9th) to now being ecstatic if we finished 12th. It's not about how the usual suspects are doing, but about our dip in form and how well some other teams have improved. Can I take 12th now, please.
I will be interested to see how I feel about him. When he was at Saints, he was a bastard, but our bastard. I suspect I will now just regard him as smug....as he does not have the saving grace of being at Saints.

I listened to some of it, hard work and I didn't learn anything new that I didn't already know, missed the last bit, did they find out where he is going?
Nothing major came from the interview Interesting that he alleged that The Oxo was miss behaving in training and generally being a pain. Kept getting fined for behaviour and his family were causing issues. Cortese rang Arsenal and offered to broker a deal to move him on. Used the money to fund the development of the academy and some player purchases A fan rang in to thank him for what he did for the club (went down well) but then strangely said that lots of Saints fans don't like Les Reed and Ralph Kruger but NC retorted that being popular doesn't mater, they appear to being successful since he moved on so move on. NC knows nothing about the Chinese take over NC wouldn't be drawn too far on the reasons for leaving but felt he and others in the club had become stale and complacent with a loss of focus on the objectives. NC said he felt it was good that Saints put their foot down on VVD as he has a contract and sending an email transfer request should have been put in the bin as that can't over ride a contract. Felt the situation showed that the management and players aren't close enough that this situation has arisen NC said that he thought Saints had bought Courtinio, they had gone through the club, agreed terms and fees but he alleged that Liverpool did a deal directly with the player and the agent (who earned a lot more than he would have done if the player had come to us) so our deal was put aside as the didn't want to discuss terms with us ....... a bit of a common thread with our Scouse friends NC is ready to come back to football for the right project but not likely to be in England
After all the trouble of inventing time travel and you're only sending him back a day? Could have at least given him a transfer window.
Saturday 16 September 12.30pm Crystal Palace v Southampton (Sky Sports)Referee: Robert Madley Assistants: Lee Betts, Marc Perry Fourth official: Graham Scott
Always be grateful to NC. I think people forget he lost his best friend, and their project when they cast judgments on his time with us.
As he said, move on. Was unsure at the time, but has been fine since he left, so why go back.....especially as he isolated old players from the club and was supposedly unpleasant to staff.
Who's going back? I just don't like the amount of stick NC gets from people who do not appreciate the cracking job he did here. If Nicola happens to sign up on N606, I'll stop banging the 'in defence of him' drum, I promise. In the mean time, carry on.......
