Apparently (according to someone Adam Blackmore RTed on Twitter, not the most reliable source, but he seems to work in the game) Atletico Madrid officials are in Southampton today to talk to Pochettino. Unsure if this is transfer related or manager related.

Guarin is a quality player. More of an attacking midfielder anyway. I don't want Osvaldo to go, but if he were, that would be a decent deal for us.

Manager related? They have Diego Simeone. Awesome coach.

Alderweireld has struggled to get into their squad...

Everybody needs a Belgian.

If this is true then I can see it involving Ramirez. Atletico have been pursuing Diego for a long time so maybe they have given up on that and have turned their attentions to a different attacking midfielder.

Clutching at straws?

Have to say, though I think it would take something special to get Pochettino to leave us, the fact that Atletico Madrid would probably constitute that, and the way he straight-batted questions about his future yesterday, make me feel slightly nervous about this.

Not sure I can really see Simeone leaving for the Argentina job, so that's something I guess!

Why would Argentina sack Sabella this close to the World Cup, though? They've been excellent under him.

Think it's about Osvaldo, they have been linked to him in the past.

Don't know if you saw it, but when Adam Blackmore interviewed Poch after his pre-WBA news conference, he started by saying that he was pleased he'd got a chance to speak to him before he goes off to another job in the summer [according to reports from Italy]. To which they all chuckled and Poch said in English, Ok, thank you, thank you so much and through David went on... so many reports coming out of Italy at the moment that if we paid attention to all of them we'd probably go mad.

Then Blackmore said of the reports about Osvaldo being linked away, when he's really only just got here, to which Poch said [through David again]... He's very happy here, he's very content. Obviously the adaptation process is not easy, it's taking time, he's been through some illness, some injuries as well, so we're just waiting for his bad games [?] to go through so that he can come back and be playing for us.

Then Blackmore asked about other rumours [Shaw, Lambert, etc...] and Poch said we've no intention of selling anybody.

Here's a link for the interview. Sorry, this is just for people with Saints Player: http://www.player.saintsfc.co.uk/la...ochettino-positive-after-good-week-s-training
