Is there any truth in the rumour about him being unsettled. He looks fine to me...just a bit desperate to score. A few goals in his pocket and he will be fine.

As I said in an earlier post, I can't see Osvaldo looking unsettled. I've no idea where these rumours come from. If what I see from his appearances, in training photos and videos, is a player who is unsettled, then his head will undoubtedly fall off when he smiles properly after becoming happy to be at SFC. Yes, he probably is frustrated about his lack of goals and the way his plays sometimes don't come off, but he's starting to integrate on that score too.

He never played for Roma so he could technically, but that rumour is a bit silly. Poch didn't exactly sign Osvaldo on a whim.

Indeed. I think it was Osvaldo himself who said Saints had long made enquires with Roma and him before he got around to deciding to come to Southampton. And there was that bit about him looking to buy a house over here before he'd even signed, so he'd made his mind up even if we hadn't quite. So none of it was an off-the-cuff, yeah, let's get Osvaldo whim.

I think he's was deciding whether he disliked the Italian press and minority of fans more than Poch working him like a dog, or not. :)

He's not unsettled, he has repeatedly tweeted things refuting those reports.

In other news, maybe we should be trying to get Mayuka back, 3 goals in his last 3 games (a record only matched by Ibrahimovic), playing for the worst side in the league, not too shabby.

Yeah, I can't see Sharp ever coming back and playing. Recalling Mayuka may not be possible anyway and I'm not sure where he'd fit. Poch seems to know - and rely on - his first 12 or 13 players and doesn't use too many others unless he has to so if Mayuka's not going to get into the first team I think he's better off playing on loan.

Think that's just us being sentimental though. He hardly lit Div 1 up when he was at Oldham on loan. Can't see him putting the necessary shift in!
