Couldn't see us possibly getting more than 9-10m for Ramirez. His value isn't exactly showing signs of increasing.

Its psychological... Intimidation tactics. 12m uraguy international sat on the bench speaks volumes about our strength in depth

Could loan Ramirez to a championship club for the rest of the season? Seems to be about his level from what I've seen. May improve him as well.

Think Ramirez might have something to say about that. He isn't in our manager's plans, but, as long as he is training and available, I don't see why he needs punishing. hasn't done anything wrong as far as I can see.

Not in the traditional sense.

Ward-Prowse has played a few times as a traditional winger/wide midfielder on the right. Obviously Pochettino generally uses a modern type of winger that likes to drift inside and cut inside to shoot. But you don't have to hug the touch line and get crosses in like Valencia or Beckham to be a winger. Rodriguez is a nailed on modern winger.

Real Sociedad are hopeful of tempting Southampton to let Pablo Osvaldo leave in January by offering ex-Arsenal star Carlos Vela in a swap deal, according to reports from TuttoMercato.
The Spaniards are keen to lure the Italian international back to La Liga – where he represented Espanyol – and have been buoyed by rumours that he has failed to settle on the South Coast following his summer move from Roma.
The 27-year-old was one of the Saints’ marquee signings during the last window, but has so far failed to make himself a guaranteed starter at St Mary’s Stadium.
He is currently in direct competition with fans’ favourite Rickie Lambert, and is rumoured to be struggling to adapt to life at the club.
Real Sociedad have been alerted by this, and are believed to be considering a shock deal to lure him to the Anoeta.
To tempt Southampton into letting him leave they are said to be ready to make Vela a part of the deal.
The former Arsenal forward has been a massive hit since signing for the Spanish side, and was a key member of their squad that secured Champions League qualification last season.
The Saints may be tempted by a deal, with the Mexican able to operate on either flank or as a central striker.

Every time I look at Osvaldo I don't see this rumoured unhappy player. He's laughing and fine in training, and it should only be a matter of time before he adapts well enough in matches.

We may get a better offer in the summer, but there would have to be a major disaster before MP would pick Gaston....or at least it seems like that. Never has a player had such goodwill directed at him...anyone else would have been forgotten by now.
