The trouble is that a goalkeeper making a mistake is more likely to be more costly than any other position on the pitch, ask Wet Spam today.

The most disappointing part about Boruc's blunder today is that he hasn't learnt his lesson yet. Surely he must have remembered that he'd gifted the opposition a 1-0 lead in the very last away game. He shouldn't have been taking any risks at all with that in mind.

We've still only let in 7 goals in 12 games which is very good. We need to stick with him. There's no point risking upsetting the whole side. But it's frustrating that 5 out of the 7 goals we've conceded this season could very easily have been prevented. In 3 games we've gifted the opposition the lead (Giacherrini header vs Sunderland, Begovic vs Stoke, today) and only got 2 points from those games.

Sorry but that is really unfair. He did not gift a goal against Stoke. As Fran says above, that was pure bad luck. If there was anyone to blame, it was Fonte and Lovren for not getting underneath it, but it should really be put down to the freak conditions, which, as Artur himself said, they hadn't actually warmed up properly in.

Another disappointment is that a mistake like today gives the Trolls something to bitch about, telling us what we all know, but with extra negativity

Boruc: yesterday <steam> today <smooch>

Remember we want our GK to feel good about themselves. He won't feel good today, but will be on his toes next weekend. He knows that he is one amazing save from absolution...that is the life of a goalkeeper.

Anyone think Yoshida might want to leave in January, be it on loan or permanently? I personally thought that when Lovren was purchased I thought it would be him and Yoshi as a centre back pairing. With the World Cup coming up and Yoshida not even getting in the matchday squad, I think a loan move would benefit him and just put Turnbull as the fourth choice centre back? I know he is a regular for Japan but do you think he still would be in the World Cup considering he is getting very limited game time? P.S. Sorry if this has bee mentioned before in this thread.

Hope not as he is back up for Fonte, if he gets injured or suspended he is in the team.

Lovren's illness shows that you can't let players just leave. Every team has players who scarcely play...they are on contract and won't be allowed to leave on a whim, especially in January. Not that Yoshi has even said that he does. To quote our manager, a player's duty is to train and be available.

I would like us to sign Ryan Gauld from Dundee. 17 year old who does look really promising, albeit only in the SPL but I genuinely believe he could become a great player if he moves to the right club & I can't help but think we could be that club.

Genuine FM wonderkid! The interest is supposedly pretty high in him though, looking likely that he is off to United.

The freekick at 2:32 is a bit special!

Has there ever been a video showing a selection of highlights of a footballer without disgusting music over it?

I would prefer complete silence to the vast major of ill chosen pieces of music. The trouble is, despite most people asking video makers to NOT accompany any action with music, most of the uploaders think their taste in music must be better than others, so continue to foist the awful audio with the often good video.

If only they could think for just a second, that they are not the centre of the universe.
