Doesn't that seem a bit random to you? Why Arsenal or Southampton? Have these teams made enquiries or can he only see himself playing for these two teams? Or is it just a media-generated rumour?

Your last option. We're still flavour of the month. Everybody is leaving this club and everybody is coming to it. We're the model club for England. As yet, I haven't come across any reports that we're not the model club for England, though they may appear later in the season, or the pro-model club ones will just fade away.

Well, it's probably because he was asked. It is nice that he knows about us and can name Lallana as a player he admires. Shows we're becoming more widely known and more desirable for players to come to.

I would like us to sign Ryan Gauld from Dundee. 17 year old who does look really promising, albeit only in the SPL but I genuinely believe he could become a great player if he moves to the right club & I can't help but think we could be that club.

He is really good - he plays for Dundee Utd actually, but comes from Aberdeen. Sign him up !

The most disappointing part about Boruc's blunder today is that he hasn't learnt his lesson yet. Surely he must have remembered that he'd gifted the opposition a 1-0 lead in the very last away game. He shouldn't have been taking any risks at all with that in mind.

We've still only let in 7 goals in 12 games which is very good. We need to stick with him. There's no point risking upsetting the whole side. But it's frustrating that 5 out of the 7 goals we've conceded this season could very easily have been prevented. In 3 games we've gifted the opposition the lead (Giacherrini header vs Sunderland, Begovic vs Stoke, today) and only got 2 points from those games.

He definitely needs competition, as any player does. His must be the most secure tenure in the Premiership by far. Though a class keeper, if he had a realistic competitor breathing down his neck, he may well have thought twice about trying a Cruyff turn in his six-yard box (and one in the direction of his goal at that).

What a load of bollocks. He wasn't to blame for the Stoke goal - just a freak incident.

Just heard that Joe Hart is available in the January transfer window...

Nicola, sign him up!

If we want to talk about keepers who may be available in January, Igor Akinfeev is probably the most obvious one. I don't think we need a new keeper but I'd take him in a heartbeat.

Hart is good for a howler every month or two. He would scare me. We have a number of young keepers but they are not getting game time. Gaz needs to go out on loan to get some time and see if he has real potential or not.

That's pretty short-sighted. He's not in the best of form right now but he has been extremely consistent for the last few years. He's clearly much better than what we have.

The idea that he would be available is fanciful, however.

The idea may be fanciful but I have seen a report somewhere that ManC are making him available providing they can get the right keeper in.
That may be a load of twaddle, of course.
