This is the consequence of signing the 19-21 years olds we have and they’re not playing regularly.
Grimsby should be a great time to play Dibling, Doyle & Ballard, but we have Alcaraz, Mara and Edozie not getting regular starts ahead of them.

A lot will depend on Selles job security

Would be well deserved, but I'd be very surprised.

The U18s have a quarter final in Preston a day later, and we've gone repeatedly strong with lineups in that competition with the likes of Ballard, Doyle and Dibling dropping back down a level to play.
 
The U18 QF versus the FA Cup 5th round, I'd definitely be playing them in the latter. We need to demonstrate that we will make space for our youth, and you will not get a better chance for that than a home cup matchup against a League Two side, no disrespect to Grimsby.

Does anyone know how we have lined up here, formation wise?

I'm guessing Aribo and Edozie is to get them familiar in the new job roles.

Not far away from fhe team I'd see us play in the Cup too..

Because neither Bree nor Aribo should be starting in the first team. Edozie is clearly young and inexperienced so more understandable. McCarthy coming back from long term injury.

Last time, there were (understandable) clamours for DCC and Orsic to be starting for the first team before the b-team game happened.

There's no such clamour for Bree or Aribo.

DCC and Orsic not included for Selles either.

My point is people decide they don't like someone and then moan about everything.

Yeah I’d prefer Bree and Edozie to be available for the A-team.

But the difference between Selles and Jones, is that Selles earned us some points.
