Yes, it's a shame that we don't get to hear about the Under 15's, several of them have been doing good things at Club and International level, but you get very little feedback and because of their age they don't get their names announced.
As I’m lazy and cba to check, are we going to get promoted from the PL2 this year? We all know what a huge step up it is from u23 football to first team, but that gap is even bigger if you aren’t playing the top level of u23 football
Bearing in mind that half of the Squad was despatched on loan in January and the Under 18's have stepped up to take their place it has been a good effort.
One of those bits of synchronicity which happen sometimes. Beating Leeds on Friday would open a 4 point gap between us and the pack, although Forest would close that to 2 points if they beat West Brom on Monday. Just 5 games left after this weekend, only the top club gets automatic promotion, 2nd to 5th have to play off. So the U21’s and the first team both have massive games against the same club this weekend.
Results are never the important thing at this level/age it’s all about development. Playing senior men’s football is a big step up so if there are clubs who want our players to do just that then it makes sense to do it and see how they get on.

Good on him, glad that one of talented crop of 16-18 year olds has a signed a long term deal. Anyone know what if Ballard is old enough yet, or Doyle?
Great news. Shame JJM left, byt there are plenty in this group that could go on to have a career with us.
It would be a piss take if they don't really. With the way they are playing in the b team, what more can they really do to earn a shot in the first team? May as well not have an academy if you have an age group performing exceptionally well but not giving them a go against a bottom half league 2 side.
I just don’t see the point in the academy if we can’t play these promising players against ****ing Grimsby, to be honest
Its also the very identity of our football club. If we don't play the kids then they will never make it and we lose our reputation as one of the best academies in the country.
