What have you seen that I haven't?
When we beat Palace they were the better team. We beat WBA because of a piece of magic. Everton downed tools. Very lucky pen v's WHU.
Some good defensive displays when up against some of the best teams, but never looking like winning. I have seen nothing to suggest this guy is half decent. And he is to blame for that.
My view exactly. It`s not as if he was doing OK, then hit a bad run. We should be stronger with Hoedt and Lemina, but we aren`t. There`s nothing during his tenure here that suggests he can arrest our decline - tactics, team selection, use of subs, motivation - nothing.

I think that just about sums it up and sadly I see no other alternative to sack MP quickly

Looking at it from that point of view he has also made good players bad. Once he has a chance to train them they go off; look at Hoedt & Lemina and WTF has happened to Gabbiadini? It seems he is ok with our 'mediocre ' players, but any signs of being any good and he drums it out of them.

AC Milan reportedly not interested in signing Walcott or any midfielder this month. It has been mentioned before that his agent is looking for a move to Italy....and who could blame Theo for wanting such a move at this time in his career. Can think of far worse fates than spending a few years in Italy near the end of my career. However, it does blow the idea that he is panting to come here. If we get him it could be a case of last man standing.....I could live with that if he turns out to be the answer to our prayers (a thing heavily debated on here), but suggests that it is not going to happen early in the window.

I think MP can be accused of not playing Gabbiadini, but I am not sure he can be accused of making him worse???

Lemina & Hoedt both had strong first couple of games, then once they had a few weeks of training they weren't as good? Though Lemina is injured and Hoedt has been playing well, so I may be jumping on the Pellegrino is crap and the antichrist bandwagon :)

Hojbjerg, JWP, Long and Austin are all players you could argue have improved since Pellegrino has been here. Not saying that is necessarily down to him, but if we're going to blame the bloke for every drop in individual form, perhaps we can give him something in the credit ledger as well.

McCarthy has got his chance and shaped up so far, and it takes balls to do drop your 1st choice keeper like that.

I'm sorry but it took no balls to drop Forster, I'm sure we would have dropped him ages ago but they were just waiting for Mcarthy to prove his fitness.

Maybe you're right.

But you have just proved my wider point, that nothing this manager does is going to earn him any credit with the fans. Like getting stick for subbing Hojbjerg, when Pellegrino is the guy who resurrected Hojbjerg's Saints career.

Yes, he deserves credit for Hojbjerg, but I rather feel that the main credit for Hojbjerg should go to Hojbjerg. Certainly seems the type of character to knuckle down and work hard to regain his form and place.

Surely it depends how you look at it. A lot on here have been screaming for quite a time for a change in goalkeeper. You have to remember Forster was first choice since his arrival......so yes it took a lot of courage from mopo’s point of view.

To be honest in my view he's not the man for the job, He has had plenty of time to prove himself, every single time i have watched saints this season i have left thinking we should be better than what we are. We have had spells of some decent stuff but for me that is no where near good enough with the squad we have. I admire those who still defend him but surely the season so far is a complete failure from start to present day and if it continues as it is then it is only going to end one way.

Again, exactly my point; all credit for the few positives in the season so far go to anyone but the manager. All blame for every shortfall goes to the manager.

It's not like he took over a team that was performing well; nor, by the sounds of it, did he walk in to a united dressing room.

Seems to me he's probably staying til the summer. I could be wrong about that, and I wouldn't be heartbroken if I was, but maybe, just maybe, it's time to get behind the bloke and give him a chance?

I'm giving him credit for Hojbjerg though. That was the first part of the sentence!

No the reason it has taken so long is because we had no replacement with McCarthy being out injured for so long. A **** Forster is better than Taylor.
