Chris Wetherspoon is one of the reasons I don't listen to WMS anymore. He's an agenda pusher and his hatred of Methven and Donald is pretty hard line. Yes, he saw that there was something wrong with them before many others did, but it's now guilt by association towards anyone at the club who has a connection to them.

I'll repeat again, the rumours have been floating around now for THREE years to my knowledge that Sartori fell out with Donald a few months after becoming involved. I first heard them during late June 2019. I don't know why it's rumoured to have happened only that it was some time between the Checkatrade and play off finals. They might ge wrong, and they might all still be great friends. However, judging by how Sartori and KLD were hugging each other at Wembley (and my mate's brother seeing KLD and Sartori coming out of Angelo's restaurant in Sunniside with their partners earlier in the season on Friday night before a game), I'd guess he's more aligned with KLD than D&M.

Please accept this as fact, they have not fell out at all, they speak regularly and I have been in their company since the play off final.
It is just not true they have fell out.

The bit I've highlighted shows how it won't work. This is from the EFL owners and directors test:-

"3.1.2 the League shall have the power to require the Club and/or the Person who proposes to acquire Control to appear before it and to provide evidence of the ultimate source and sufficiency of any funds which that Person proposes to utilise to acquire Control and/or invest in or otherwise make available to the Club."

I know its about taking control of a club, not buying a stake in one, but taking such a large stake would mean finances would have to be looked at. If they're saying that there's nothing to fund the club other than selling dodgy crypto tokens, there's no way they can pass the test.

If you also consider that they'd have to contribute to any shareholder financing, they'd be in the same boat as Donald and Methven, in that they'd risk seeing their shareholdering diluted by not being able to match anything KLD or Sartori puts in, devaluing their shareholding. This means that the "outside investor", who ever they are, may not see any return on their money, unless they want a quick return from their layout straight away.

And that's before you even consider that the EFL will want to know who the "outside investor" is and where and how they have the funds.

If anyone is interested, here's the link to the full EFL OaD test. Boring as hell, but at least you know what's what.

All I'll say about this lot is I'm concerned about them. I've never heard of them before and trying to tout Bradford Park Avenue in the English 6th tier and FC Episkopi in the Greek 3rd tier as being examples of their competence seems laughable, but almost smacks me as being the front for an organised crime or money laundering group.

Do you know any new investor or new shareholders have to stick their pro rata % in cash in to an escrow account for 16 month to cover the running of the club.

Yeah, I do, Bob. Which is why I highlighted the bit in Southern A's comment about no further funding being available unless raised by buying their crypto. If they can't show evidence of funds they fail straight away. It's why this reaks of being dodgy as hell to me.

I’ve got to challenge this, how do we know he’s put money in and if he has how much? Pretty sure the Echo ran a story on net spend in League 1 since we dropped into it and we had a negative net spend of £30million!!
56 million of that negaive net spend was our first season in league 1 getting rid of as many high earners as possible.

Don't let the facts cloud your judgement though.

Every time I come on here I assume we have moved on. If there has ever been a dafter story associated with our club it isnt in my lifetime. Lets just all gan fishin and share stories, much more relevant.

Social media builds up these stories to a ridiculous degree tbh.

The club aren't even involved in this share sale but are taking endless flak.

I think this furore is a legacy from the last takeover when it actually mattered.

surely i am not alone here...one after another 'new member' 'long time lurker' 'low post number' are appearing and not one has anything remotely positive to say, all questioning the lads trying to offer a bit gossip (yep, that is all it is, gossip and it is as likely to be true as not be true but some seem to hang on every word as if it is gospel waiting to pounce) can one of you please, and this is a genuine request, tell me why you have to be so negative...why can you not either join in the chat without the agression/ignore the entire episode/sit and read and wait to see what happens?

personally, i choose to think the lads are passing on what they have genuinely heard, they may turn out to be correct or they may find out it was bollox but i just cannot see why anyone would get so het up about it, i mean, it is hardly as if they are asking for cash for each bit of info, they stand to gain absolutely nothing from passing it all on yet some feel the need to dig, dig and dig again hoping to 'trip them up', honestly it is so damn childish from adults.

Even after all this time I have not the slightest clue what William Storey is doing regarding SAFC. I don't know if he's insane or everyone else is but it makes no sense and never has done. Yet it's still going on.

i am slowly warming to the bloke..not that i want him buying into the club but he is just so persistant and...well... mental!

That reminded me of a series of excited texts I got late the other night.

The gist was that Niall Quinn was involved in another group wanting to buy into the club <laugh>

I didn't post it, because I think it's just wild gossip, but looking at Quinn’s face at Wembley made me wish it was true.

What you tend 'to gain' is endless abuse tbh <laugh>

I know what you mean, his persistence is admirable. It's also what makes me think he might be quite mad because it's never been a possibility from the start, which was years ago.

I've seen it suggested many times that he's a mag plant but he's inoffensive and a big time suck up to Sunderland so I doubt it. I don't think there are any mags out there with the intelligence or subtlety to cook this **** up and keep it going for this long.

Can you imagine the ****e you would've gotten if you had posted it. lol

Sorry but I can’t agree with a lot that is being said about JS. What has he done for this club that warrants us to trust him and what has he specifically done that has benefitted us as a club? Being mates with KLD and hugging him doesn’t get him off the hook for me!

I get that Chris from WMS is pretty negative and could see why that would upset people but is anything he has said or written been disproved?

I do not know Chris from WMS or if he is negative, but those that put a negative spin on anything always seem to have the solution for that negatively if you read RTG.
