Its a fantastic beach, had the kids up there years ago when we used to go to the Isle of Whithorn every year.
I go to Sandhead every year now for a week, at the back of Luce bay. A week of peace and quiet and Bass fishing.

The beach at Sandyhills is a good spot - which is closer to Dumfries, than the ones mentioned earlier.

No mate, that was far too pricey for us. Dumfries registry office Buccleuch Street was a lot cheaper. It cost me £94.50 to marry Mrs Jonesy (No). We always had our hols in D & G and we already had a break booked and just seemed logical to get married there too. The area will always have a special place in all our hearts.
