Heard nothing about that.

However, he was going some important work and was partly responsible for pushing the club into this new direction and modern way of working.

I think it would be up to him. I think he is an asset so would be wise to keep him involved IMO.

I would love to see K.Brady added to the team. I find he speaks so much sense compared to most of the ex pros.

Do you think they'll sink money into signing players for the academy to compete with other Cat A clubs? or just spend money on the academy to improve what we have?

Seemed heavily involved in recruitment last summer. That part of his role is now redundant. I can't really see any reason to keep him on other than he's a good bloke and has a few contacts. Hopefully our new structure will address all this

Been a couple of times, once Snowboarding the other was a driving trip I did throughout Europe. If you go, take a lot of spending money and I mean a lot <laugh>

Yup, save your pennies. I remember a lunch costing me close to £200 when i was out there a couple of summers ago - there were 4 of us eating salad & pasta, no booze. That was Geneva. We were staying with family, so popped over to France for provisions and barbequed / drank at home a lot after a swim in the lake/ day trips. I'd like to go back for the Montreaux jazz festival one year.

I don't even think he gets a salary TBF

It looks a class place mate and I’ve always fancied going as well, but aye I’ve heard it’s very pricey.

I don’t agree.

He’s not criticised the club, just (rightly or wrongly) cautious of the the new set up.

I think he genuinely wants what’s best for us, and playing wise is a legend at the club.

A few cautious comments won’t change my opinion of the man.
Best thing to happen to this club in the last fifty years nobody is going to change that unless they’ve never seen him play for us.

You just can’t put that on without singing along at the top of your voice. Not always in tune mind. :emoticon-0136-giggl

Can't help falling in love is the Sunderland song for me, i know some don't like it but it brings a lump to my throat.
I just had to learn it on guitar.

Mixed feelings about the badge, I asked cheeses of Nazareth to put the old in the new. He shopped it and I thought it looked canny.

Maybe just add a black cat :)
We were most successful with that .

The lockdown has left us all in the doldrums marra. I don't know anyone who's escaped it. I'm hoping Boris gives us a time frame on Monday,so at least we can plan for an exit. This forum has kept many of us going through these dark winter months, but, the nights are getting lighter, the days are getting longer and warmer, and you know that you are one of many to whom Sunderland Football Club is an integral part of life. We are strong, resilient and we will rise again to the very top, then we can put all the plastics in their proper place. You are not alone. We are Sunderland!

I know mate, there's a lot worse off than me.
This takeover is great news and a good spirit lifter though :emoticon-0148-yes:

One of my brothers was living and working in Geneva, he got married over there, ****in expensive place mate but lovely.

I was asked to repossess a very expensive Buick Supercharger from Antwerp. I took two of my teenage sons from Nice, flew them to Brussels, left them for the day and went off to repo the car. I got it and we zigzagged across Europe in a mad car with the best music system I've ever seen or heard.

I knew I'd blow my fee but it was all a mad adventure, then we arrived in Geneva, to stay the night, and had a lovely evening at a restaurant on the lake ...

... budget blown to smithereens <laugh>
