He was awful here as chairman. His signing and wages cost the club for years and his business since quitting sky haven’t exactly been successful!I think so.
love the bloke as a person, but please don’t let him near any financial dealings at SAFC

Not at all! Everything is being set up now for our drive to the top....the sooner these key positions are filled, the better. Everything we need for our assault on the PL needs to be set up now.
Dave Jones advertising the job suggests he's staying and also suggests he's been involved with data as expected over these last few months

I 100% agree with the sentiment but I'm not sure what they'd actually do day-to-day?
I'd personally rather KLD was the day-to-day owner, decision maker and executive. If he's not going to be, then definitely bring somebody in. But everything I'm seeing at the moment tells me that KLD wants to be that guy.
Just a hunch of course.

Each to their own mate. I wouldn’t touch him with a barge pole tbh. I love the bloke and what he did for us in his playing days. But, since then, he’s hardly been involved with the English game outside of commentary and is currently at the FAI.Well, I'm assuming the next key Board appointment will be on the financial side....I'm sure KLD will want that to be buttoned up.
I take your point..my comment was a little tongue in cheek, but NQ is an intelligent man,he does love us and has experience of working here. The circumstances at the minute are entirely different to when he was here before. I'm not suggesting he should be given an open cheque book, but I do think he has enough knowledge of the English game and the respect of those in the business,to be able to contribute?

That’s next level though!! Not sure he’d come to a third division club as he’s apparently one of the best in the business isn’t he?From what we’re seeing unfold here I’m thinking that KLD will have someone in mind who will be top class for any appointment for any significant role at the club.
If he wants a CEO we could do a lot worse than Cortese.

Agree both NQ and KP were top blokes when playing for us twenty years ago, I know is it really that long ago but they are yesterday's men and I've always believed in life that you should always look forward as hankering after what has gone before is a bit pointless. so its a no from me.Each to their own mate. I am very optimistic. I am sure it was on here I was saying that everything will move to data driven approach. These 2 posts that are out now are the tip of the iceberg.
Are we looking to appoint a Marwood type fella mate?
Not before time. Genuinely excited for the future and the inevitable defeat to Burton tomorrowBig culture change.
