I was about 20 feet away from that. Bennett was raging and Speedie was lucky Regis got there. Tell you what Regis was a right good player and he was a man mountain as well. When he arrived on the scene he looked ready to take everyone on.
It was shocking by Speedie mind. You see him look for Bennett and go for the knee.
2 years ago,sitting in a bar in Turkey,got on about the tackle and what a horrible specimen Speddie was, we drank up and went on to next bar, sitting there was Gary Bennett, couldnt believe it.
Turned out after a bit of craic,he had a villa in Icmeler, quite surreal.
I was in the family section with my sons

We used to stand in the Fulwel end with milk crates for the boys to stand on then I started earning more money and went into the family area
Used to work at North Selby mine do 5:45 till 12:00 hrs shift on a Saturday drive back pick the boys up about 13:45 and to the match
They used to keep my tickets to pick up at the ticket office was about £95 for 4 of us then we got promoted and had to go back to the Fulwel end and the milk crate the price increase I could not afford it
Sorry the £95 may have been the price it was going to be . Getting old now can't remember a lot of things

So was I. Speedie's arse dropped right out when GB grabbed him.
Madbob saying over the road the good news is not his mother! Of course it’s not, she has been involved from day 1 ha
His mother may well be involved but not in an overt way imo.
I'm still of the opinion there's another top level appointment to be made.
If we brought in a real 'football man' that would really galvanise the entire club.
