I don’t believe he’s a fraction as annoying as oddbod, The Rat, FootballFan etc

I agree, a local homegrown product or not, the academy and the coaches job is to take the emotion out of the decision. If he was good enough, he'd have been a regular despite his injuries. Jack Ross, Phil Parkinson and now Lee Johnson (and the various coaches they've brought with them) all seem to think he's not good enough. I think we have to trust their judgement.
Possible the link with Bristol City could see us taking one of their players who LJ may rate above Embleton , pure conjecture on my part just a thought with LJ being there until fairly recently . I think their will have to be some juggling to stay within squad and salary cap rules , hopefully LJ along with Speakman will be a lot better recruiters than what we have had in recent years as our needs are quite obvious .

Heard again today that the EFL have approved KLD, and if so that means that it's all down to the club to announce. I really hope that they're not going to string it out trying to do transfer business cheaper before they do.

I was told by the same lad who gave me Christmas Eve as the first announcement.
He messaged to tell me about something else today, a new middle level staff member coming in with KLD, and mentioned the EFL again.
It's knocking a bit of the edge of it, all this waiting.
